The Object and Manner of the Death of Mace Windu
Good evening, ladies and gentlemen!:D

It is with a heavy heart that I record my thoughts on the demise of the beloved Mace Windu. Palpatine's objective in destroying Mace was quite clear: to avoid arrest, and to rid himself of the threat of the second most powerful Jedi Master in the universe (at the time EP III took place).

I've spent a bit of time wondering if Mace could've done things differently; perhaps in a way which would have saved his own life, but I could not see my way through to a clear solution. He was fighting a very powerful Sith Lord (did you notice the zeal with which Sidious attacked him?!!!:O), and he was simultaneously attacked by Anakin, who chopped off his arm, thus causing him to lose his lightsaber, along with any chance he had of winning that battle.

At that point, not even the force could save him (if he'd thought to use it), because he was at odds with "The Chosen One," whose strength in the force was far superior to that of anyone else living at that time period. Thus, he was overcome by force-lightning and disdainfully hurled through the window by Anakin's new partner-in-crime. :_|

On the flip side, the force-lightning which Mace deflected back at Palpatine's face exposed Palpy for the evil, ugly, sinister individual that he really is! Kudos!...:D

Your meditative intelligence, battle skills, and dedication to the Republic will be sorely missed. :( Mace, this one's for you:

*ignites lightsaber*

*chops the arm off the nearest Sith Lord*

*and tosses him through the window*

]:)

In conclusion, I would like to thank you all for joining me for this session. Please tune in next time for further meditations on the scenes of EP III. :D

I love you all! :)
