My Humiliating Confessions...
As a SW enthusiast, there are certain things I'm embarrassed to reveal to my fellow fans, and other things I'm ashamed to divulge to non-fans. Since I had a bit of time on my hands, I composed lists of both categories.


Things I'm Ashamed to Admit to My Fellow SW Fans


10. I've been unfaithful to the Saga by being a huge fan of Batman as well.

9. I've never played any of the SW video games...yet. :(

8. I rarely read the Beacons I receive via email. :8}

7. I rarely read the SW Insiders I receive via snail mail. :8}

6. I only own 4 SW comic books.

5. I didn't purchase the Chronicles to the Prequels until last week.

4. I only own one SW Book from the Essential Collection: The Essential Chronology.

3. I've had Matthew Stover's novelization of ROTS on my bookshelf for a looooong time. I'm still waiting 'til I'm in the perfect mood to read it. :8}

2. I didn't purchase the DVD set of the OT trilogy until 3 months ago. (And it's only the movies; not the set containing the 4th DVD of bonus features.) :8}

And last but not least....

1. TPM is my favorite out of all six films. :8} :8} :8}



Things I'm Ashamed To Admit To Non-SW Fans

10. I own 4 SW Visual Dictionaries, a SW Encyclopedia, a book which provides me with a timeline to events which never occurred, and a costly volume which sums up the Prequels.

9. I have SW theme music playing in my mind all day.

8. The only MBs I really post on are either the official SW boards, or spin-off SW boards. :p

7. I'm thinking about buying a life-size Yoda for my house.

6. I'm thinking about purchasing the new 1/72 scale Millennium Falcon model which consists of over 900 pieces (but I'm probably not smart enough to assemble it). :8}

5. There's a good chance I'll shell out over $500 U.S. so that I may purchase a console which will allow me to play SW video games.

4. I dressed up as Vader for the midnight viewing of ROTS. (I'm a female.)

3. I own two lightsabers...and every so often I ignite them and play with them. (I'm 29 yrs. old.)

2. I'm capable of crushing on a Sith. (I'm strictly light-side in my SW dream world, and in RL.)

And last but not least...

1. The Sith in question is Darth Maul! :O (See footnote)***


So, ladies and gentlemen: There you have it! My humiliation has been laid bare in a SW blog for all the world to see! Thanks for sticking around...you've been wonderful! :)

Well I can't stand Batman but I think I can let it slide.lol.j/k.

Anyways I really like Maul also. Maul has been the best charcter for me forever. Ever since I saw him on the big screen. Also TPM is my second favorite so don't be discouraged for liking that one the most. My least favorite is AOTC. I couldn't stand that one. Not enough fighting.X-(

There wasn't? There was the battle at Geonosis, and tons of Jedi died, and the duel between Yoda and Dooku was just amazing! :D

I was expecting a comment about my AOTC comment. If it wasn't that the battle was only when their was like 20, 30 at the most, min. left in the movie. Not like TPM or ROTS which always had some battle going on.

OK, I see what you mean. You prefer all-out battle to smaller, more personal fights. The chase for Zam Wessell, for example. :) There was also the Obi-Wan, Jango conflict. :)

Yes but compare it to the battles from TPM and ROTS. You know for a fact that more then half of that movie was all mushy mushy goo goo ga ga love story between Anakin and Padme and that really ticked me off.

Hey, I've been a Batman fan longer than a SW fan. I saw the Tim Burton flick as a child, watched the 1990's cartoon on FOX, and collected the action figures. I only saw the OT later, but by the Special Editions I was obsessed.

And another thing- I didn't get the OT DVD Set until this past Christmas!. My dad got it for me. FOR SHAME!!!:_|

You like the Schumacher films with Kilmer, Clooney, and Schwarzenegger?!!!? Oh dear...

I also got a kick out of the TV series with Adam West (yes, I'm that old), the cartoon Batman series, as well as Terry McGuiness. If it's Batman, nine times out of ten I'm gonna like it. ;)

Off topic with Batman, but anyways...

The problem with that franchise is the vast number of reinterpretations it has went through since first debuting (1930's?) The Adam West show was pretty much faithful to the old time comics, and Schumacher was trying to recapture that I think. The Batman I prefer is the dark and gritty type of Burton, Nolan, and the cartoon. But still, it gets even grittier than that if you check out the graphic novels. WAAAY beyond Adam West. I wouldn't let younger children near them.

ROTF:^O - i can so relate - what a wonderful from the heart kind of blog. dont be shy about what you tell your fellow fans though. there is SO much SW crap out there to buy, very few of us have it all, nor all we really want. i dont own any of the chronicle books! are you kidding? i gotta pay rent!

and i am going thru the same video game conflict - never really played the games and have been seriously eyeing the xbox to be able to start playing... or a new PC that can handle it (i use a slow lap top currently)

and i only got the OT SE DVD box set within the past year myself. before that it was old fashioned VHS.

lol - anyway, i totally relate about selective information i give to non-SWfans about my fandom (im 30 something :8} )

AND - sigh, those bad boys. im a jedi too but DM and DV... theres just something about them. :x

Hey tee! Thanks for your support! I am enjoying the preformances! You'll get a copy soon! Well, As for the "shameful" star wars fan, I think I can beat you. I have only three video games, but never play them, having got them off the clearance rack at Walmart, and I'm on the first level on each..... and own no comics. But I do read the books..... but I always wait til they come out in paperback......

well the special editions that came when starwars ep. 3 released in the Primera Hora but it was only for Puerto Rico.and it contained this.
1=it have interview with George Lucas and Hayden Christicen
2=the most big colectionist of starwars here on Puerto Rico
3=a dictionary of all the things of SW like what is the force and things like that.
4=it haved critics,the things that wined,the best things,and a resume of all the movies exept ep.3
5=and it haved a trivia of SW
6=and the reason why SW is important
