yesterday's post about the interview with George Lucas by TV Guide.com...
Today, the remainder of the interview was posted at TV Guide.com:
George Lucas, Episode II: Star Wars Strikes Back - on TV
It's pretty interesting to hear George talk about his visionary ideas concerning TV media. TV is almost to the point where Lucasfilm can be as innovative as usual, but this time there are less obstacles. Of course, I'm sure there are many things George wants to do, but current technology still has limitations.
I'm always outside the box, so it's like, "Uh-oh, we don't have a box for you."

One of the main factors right now seems to be finding the network to showcase the different and unique show that Clone Wars is building up to be, and you can bet the live action show will be completely different too. I was thinking about this as I read today's interview, and I think I have an answer (George? Lucasfilm? Ya listening??).
Lucasfilm needs to create it's own independent network for TV. I mean, why not? George has the money

and he certainly has the ability to create and run a large corporation. With the coming digital frequency for broadcast changeover, there are already many more opportunities and bandwidth for many more channels to spring up. I say
"Give us a Lucas TV channel, and make it HD"
Pweeze?
Well George, you completely revolutionzed filmmaking, so now you'll just have to revolutionize TV. You'll just have to build a better box for yourself.
