Hurricane Katrina and Yoda, Obi-Wan and Boga
I'm usually not one to express personal views about politics, religion or even general aspects about my life in public. It's the quiet guys you always have to worry about right?

Or maybe it's my thinking that it's the mysterious guys that girls always find more interesting? Either way, I tend to be a private person most times unless you catch me at a convention (or in the hotel bar after one too many drinks) or get me talking about Star Wars... then I never shut up.

Then again, I suppose the point of a blog is to share your thoughts and opinions about whatever is on your mind.

So I can't sit completely idle and keep quiet about the aftermath of this terrible disaster. In the wake of Katrina I've been chatting with friends, watching a lot of CNN, reading news, message boards and blogs and have even been in contact with someone I know personally from the New Orleans area who was affected by the tragedy. I'm not always sure what is exactly protocol or what is off limits to discuss in these forums so instead of shooting my mouth off I'll politely point anyone reading this to the following links which more eloquently and accurately echo my thoughts -

Also, check out this blog from bonniegrrl offering some great ideas for you to help out victims from the region caught up in this terrible tragedy -

How You Can Help the Hurricane Victims

Everyone is capable of something so do whatever you can to help. In the meantime I'm gonna download some Credence Clearwater Revival and play it really loud while I draw.
