This Saturday, June 24th I'll be appearing again with my Star Wars art along with Star Wars sketch card artist and creator of
World Famous Comics.com Justin Chung for
Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination at COSI in Columbus, Ohio.
Also, on Saturday I'll be teaching a "Learn to Draw Star Wars Characters" workshop for kids (ages 6-12) from 11am-12pm and again 12:30-1:30pm.
The characters I plan on teaching how to draw in the class are Yoda, Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Greedo, a Jawa and possibly R2-D2, Chewbacca and Darth Maul if time permits.
Unfortunately, the sign up for both classes has already been maxed out. I will be returning to set up with my Star Wars art throughout the exhibit's run until September 4th so keep your eyes peeled on my appearance schedule on my homepage.
I look forward to seeing some of you at the exhibit this weekend!

Also, I've just updated
my Comics 101 feature at World Famous Comics.com. This week's article is a look at the behind the scenes process for my new limited edition print artwork featuring R2-D2 that I created with my pal Brian Miller for the Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination exhibit at COSI.
Head on over and check it out if you're curious.

I'm currently putting the finishing touches on
*new* Star Wars artwork for an upcoming feature article written by Ryan Kaufman and Abel Peņa in
Star Wars Insider #89.
This project gave me the opportunity to draw some of my favorite kinds of characters - bounty hunters, smugglers, mercenaries, crime lords and other assorted scum and villainy, the "bad boys (and girls)" of the saga. I was able to not only illustrate a few of my very favorite characters, but I was also fortunate enough to help create and work with brand new characters from the ever unfolding Expanded Universe. There are a few EU surprises and cameos to look out for in the artwork too so keep your eyes peeled!
Ryan and Abel came up with a very enjoyable and informative article so be sure to pick up this issue when it ships later this summer or sign up for
Hyperspace today so you're sure not to miss out!
I'll post again in the very near future with some behind the scenes commentary for each illustration I provided for the "Underworld" feature coming in
Star Wars Insider #89. Stay tuned.

I'll be appearing with my artwork for the
OSWCC Summer Social on July 15th and from July 19th to July 23rd I'll be appearing as a guest in Artist Alley for
Comic-Con International in San Diego, California. I'll be there with friends and fellow Star Wars artists Justin and Jan Duursema. We'll have lots of Star Wars art on hand to view and for sale so if you're going to the convention be sure to find us. I'll have more news on these upcoming appearances as the dates draw near.

In other news, I've recently joined the dysfunctional world that MySpace built. Be sure to stop on by, say "hi" and feel free to add me to your friend's list if you're already part of the community -

This Wednesday, June 28th I'll be seeing my favorite band play live for the first time, Nine Inch Nails (with Bauhaus opening). The last time Trent Reznor came to Columbus (in 2001 I think) I missed out but this time around I made sure to purchase my tickets promptly. In fact, I was able to pick up front row tickets for the show so after I come back bloody, battered and brusied with my ear drums annihilated I'll be sure to post about the entire experience over in my
MySpace blog
