Hasbro has released the images for their new series of classic Marvel Comics Star Wars series 2-packs. These new action fgures will be painted up in the same color scheme as the characters appeared in the panels of the original comic books, complete with shadows and highlights on the sculpts. These sets will retail for $9.99 and will include a reprint of the original comic, plus the 2 action figures.

I provided character illustrations as packaging art for these figures which you can view for each 2-pack set in this Rebelscum.com update right here.

My art looks like it's being used on the side panels of the blisters but I'm really hoping they show the full character illustrations on the card backs too. If you want to see the full artwork in pencil be sure to check out my Star Wars Sketchbook.

I grew up reading the original Marvel Comics series and also collected (and played with of course) all of the original Kenner action figures so this was an especially enjoyable project for me. This was also my first project for Hasbro which was pretty exciting. I can't wait to see these toys on the shelves! :)
