 | My Star Wars CIV LE Print Artwork Revealed and Order Reserve Info! |
Star Wars.com has posted the full preview of my new Celebration IV Limited Edition Print artwork which commemorates the 30th Anniversary of Star Wars. You can also view a larger version of this latest Star Wars artwork from me at my official website right here.
This print will be limited to 250 hand signed and numbered editions, 18" x 24" in size and will sell for $50 each. It will only be available for sale directly from me in the Art Show (located in the Main Exhibit Hall) at Star Wars Celebration IV in Los Angeles from May 24th - 28th.
I am currently taking a list of reserve requests for prints (limit 2 per person) prior to the show if you email me directly at joe@joecorroney.com or through my Myspace and type CELEBRATION 4 PRINT in the subject line. I will be accepting payment at the show. The artwork will be available for sale to all fans and everyone that attends the event and there will be *no limit* to how many copies you can purchase in person.
This reserve list is only meant for serious and interested fans and collectors (or their chosen representative) intent on purchasing the print from me on site at the show. The print will be held for you until pick up by the end of show time on Sunday, May 27th though I recommend pick up on Thursday if you would especially like a lower number edition. Due to Lucasfilm contract rules and regulations I cannot sell this limited edition print artwork before Celebration IV on May 24th or after the event on May 28th so don't miss your chance to own a rare and highly collectible art piece of Star Wars history.
For more information check out my Myspace blog or my News section at my official website, Joe Corroney.com.
By the way, in the aforementioned Star Wars.com update ( More Artists at Celebration IV) I was given credit for the description posted with the reveal of my artwork when in fact the proper credit needs to go to my friend and fellow Star Wars.com blogger, viagoangel2. Here is her beautiful, eloquent and unaltered tribute to my artwork. Enjoy!
"A Forgotten Legacy is revived, as an echo of Hope penetrates the Darkness. A Prophecy still lingers amongst the bleakness, biding fruition, as the son of the Foreboded *Chosen One* emulates his destiny. The Hands of Fate await once more, for the Force to bring forth Balance and restore peace throughout the Galaxy."
Thanks, Angel! And thanks everyone who has reserved a print so far. I really appreciate the support and I'm excited about the positive response to my new work. I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone in Los Angeles next month to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Star Wars!

Thanks, Jediprincess! Yeah, I love the X-Files. Unfortunately, I think I relate to Fox Mulder a little too much for my own good

This is truly the most prominent piece on display for Celebration 4, at least in my opinion it is. From the moment I saw the sketch, I was in Awe. It rekindled a flood of childhood (toddler ) memories, bringing me back in time when I first gazed upon the silver screen and saw: STAR WARS And your color scheme is positively Radiant, this print/piece truly captures the entire essence of our epic Saga! Just LOVE IT! You have a gift, many of us don't have and can never have, you are truly blest.
Here is her beautiful, eloquent and unaltered tribute to my artwork. Enjoy! I only hope I did this amazing piece justice, Thank YOU! It was my pleasure, Joe, I am completely honored by your geniality.

I do have a question: my only real worry is getting this home unmarred; can these be rolled into poster tubes for shipping or must they be mailed flat?

Thanks, Deej! The prints will be able to be rolled so I recommend bringing along a poster tube for your art purchases at the show.
I can't attend C4, but I'm definitely going to check it out and hopefully can get one mailed to me! Sounds like a plan. Drop me a line if you find someone to pick one up for you at the show.

I saw on you Myspace page that you are currently listening to Year Zero. Me too! It hasn't left my CD player since I bought it on Tuesday!
Have you been following the alternate reality game accompanying the album? I have, and have even been posting "Art is Resistance" flyers and flags around my college and hometown.
And he signs his name with a Capital G...

Year Zero is exceptional! I love NIN Haven't had time to follow the ARG too in depth though, just too many projects to do (and some that are waiting on me to start!) Capital G is amazing, so is The Good Soldier. Two of my favorite tracks on the new album.

You're not the only who is probably asking me to hurry up As soon as I get these new sketch cards done I should *finally* be starting a new Star Wars project that has kept getting delayed because of my other projects... and having to prepare for a little show called Celebration

That artwork is absolutely phenomenal, Joe!
Having been a fan since the age of 7, I can honestly say that I've not seen a piece that reflects - and captures - the heart of the saga quite like this one! I absolutely love your use of color, and the way you placed each character on the canvas.
I will DEFINITELY be e-mailing you with my reserve request...like right NOW!

Impressive. I love the prominence of the back-to-back Obi-wan and Darth Vader, and I love the caption..."The FIRST Thirty Years." Talk about a new hope!
Way to go, angel! You certainly have a gift for words as Joe does for his artwork.
