I've been busy with a lot of different projects (Star Trek, Heroes, Dr. Who, The Lord of the Rings, DC Comics and possibly more Star Wars on the horizon from Topps and for Insider magazine soon) recently but I thought I'd check in with an update finally. I was in Dallas, Texas last weekend for the Star Wars Fan Days event and had a great time meeting all of the fans there and hanging out all weekend with fellow Star Wars artists Justin Chung (of
World Famous Comics) and
Chris Trevas (artist for the upcoming Essential Guide to the Force coming this December from Del Rey). I think between the three of us we must have sketched almost 600 free sketch cards for all of the VIP attendees. Well, I drew almost a few hundred I think anyway and granted almost all of mine were thirty second sketches but it was really fun and the fans seemed to really enjoy them. That much sketching forced me to flex some drawing muscles I didn't realize I had actually.
I want to thank promoters Ben Stevens, Philip Wise and the
Official Pix crew for having us and Steve Sansweet and the folks at Lucasfilm for their continued support. And a big thanks to everyone and anyone that reads this and who came out to see us at the show and made it such a success. I hope you enjoyed the event and had fun celebrating thirty years of Star Wars there as much as we did.

best Catwoman of them all, Julie Newmar.
Now I just need to sell enough artwork to afford those autographs.
