Have been away from the blog far too long, so a number of updates here:
+ I have a short story that will be appearing -- very soon, I am informed -- as an exclusive offering on Hyperspace. It is set in the
Knights of the Old Republic era and is an "untold story" of the comics cast, narrated by The Gryph in his unique style. Title is "Labor Pains."
Edit: And we weren't waiting long - the
Knights of the Old Republic short story
"Labor Pains" is
now online. Illos by Pablo Hidalgo. That direct link's for members: the main menu is
here.
The story is set in 3963 BBY, and takes place between issues #12-13 of the comics series (or between Volumes 2 and 3 of the trade paperbacks).
+ Just got back from
Midsouthcon a while ago -- fun there with the Star Wars fans chapter, as always. I have a meager few pix on
my website.
+ My next convention is
New York Comicon, April 18-20. I'll be signing at the Dark Horse booth Friday at 4, if the schedule holds. So will
Rob Williams -- he and I are both working on different parts of the new
Indiana Jones franchise.
+ If you see the new
Overstreet Price Guide, I wrote one of the feature articles in there -- about Star Wars comics. There's even one Star Wars variant cover by
Doug Wheatley. Available in both hardcover and softcover.
+ Old friend
Chuck Fiala and I have teamed for a webcomic,
Sword & Sarcasm -- featuring a ruler deposed by his people for being insufferable -- and the poor enchanted being doomed to follow him around. Updates Monday and Thursday ... check it out!
+ I have a comics history column running now on Newsarama.com -- hits about the third week of every month, drawing from my research at
The Comics Chronicles. Be sureto give it a read.
+ And... last and most important -- more Star Wars stuff. "Vector" continues in
Knights, and we've got the
KOTOR Campaign Guide and miniatures for the role-playing game coming up in August. Whew!
