I once watched a show on TV about people in Korea (or was it Japan) who eat live squid. It's covered in sauces and stuff, but it fights back, tentacles sucking the inside of your mouth even when severed from the body. You risk dying. Extreme sports for gourmets.

You're certainly not! I get the impression that most of the people saying bad things have never actually tried it. I strongly and seriously urge anyone who likes seafood (and doesn't have any extreme fear of cephalopods) to try it. It's usually so chopped up that you can't tell it's a squid anyway, unless they give you the tentacles.
