Star Wars Joke-A-Day

Wednesday One-Liners
Kids in Michigan recently attended a Star Wars summer camp! It's a lot like a regular camp, except there's a cantina instead of a canteen, the camp song is Lapti Nek, and the guy in charge refers to himself as the Supreme Counselor.

And you should see the scene at drop-off every morning: 100 kids tearfully asking their moms, "Will I ever see you again?"

Y'know, when I was a kid, we also had Star Wars camp... though back then it was known as "Watching The Empire Strikes Back Ninety Days in a Row."

In collecting news, there's now a Death Star cookie jar! And like the real deal, it has a surprisingly strong gravitational pull.

There's also an R2-D2 toilet paper dispenser -- perfect for when you eat too many cookies.

And it turns out that George Lucas is one rich dude. Just in case the last two items didn't make that abundantly clear.

This weekend is the San Diego Comic-Con, where a gathering of Slave Leias will be part of a shoot for a "You Can Draw Star Wars" video. I hope those Leias read their contracts carefully... this sounds suspiciously like a setup for Girls Gone Wild: Star Wars Edition.

Notice that the Slave Leia ad said "Females in the costume only." That has to be, without a doubt, the Greatest. Fine Print. Ever.

Finally, we learned that the late Michael Jackson had quite a Star Wars collection. In fact, it's almost as big as his collection of subpoenas!
