It Feels Like Destiny
I met my fiance two years ago.

She was a writer like me and she had in her possession an incredible mythological, space fantasy of her own. It has been her childhood goal to get her story into print for others to read and (hopefully) enjoy.

Kas had never seen Star Wars until the release of Episode I. She laughed when she first heard of "the Force". Why? Because one of the characters in her fantasy universe went by the name of Lord Force! Destiny? Maybe.

As the story and redemption of Anakin Skywalker unfolded before her, she gasped when she realized that Darth Vader and Anakin were the good and evil sides of the same person. A similar transformation and inner conflict plagues one of her main characters--the first character that she ever made as a young twelve year old girl back in Germany. The major difference being that the fate of her universe is directly connected to her character's personality switches. Still...Destiny? Perhaps.

And then came the midnight showing of Star Wars Episode III - Revenge of the Sith. She loved the movie--everything about it. Although she may not currently sport the badge of "Fangirl" quite yet :p, she is happy to be considered a fan of the Star Wars universe. But even moreso, she is intrigued with the creative mind of George Lucas. Episode III blew both of us away and made us hope even more than we have the oppurtunity to meet The Man Behind the Myth some day soon. With all of these thoughts and musings in our heads, we headed home for Star Wars dream-filled sleep.

The next morning we awoke to an e-mail from her self-publisher, iUniverse, that her book was available in print and available to purchase.

Nearly a ten-year journey realized for the world to read on the very day that the final movie in the Star Wars saga was released. No one could plan such a thing. Destiny? I still have goose-bumps.
