Nonfiction at the Presidio
Hello again,
Well, here we are at the Presidio, after years of anticipation. I have a view of the bay--well, a strip of it anyway--and there's a great corridor filled with ILM matte paintings. The food is good and there's plenty to explore. Moreover, all the DVD tie-in books are done and coming in--John Knoll's Creating the Worlds of Star Wars, Trisha Biggar's Dressing a Galaxy, The Ultimate Visual Guide, etc.--and reaction has been positive. Even George seemed very enthusiastic about Trisha's deluxe edition of Dressing a Galaxy, when we showed it to him.

And so we're now geting ready to solidify our nonfiction lineup for the next few years. We're meeting with our licensees and hope to have everything set up within the next few weeks. I can't say what exactly we're going to do, but if even if just some of the proposals on paper are accepted, fans should have a great bunch of books starting in 2006 and continuing long afterward. Also Last of the Jedi #2 is in book stores--and I just got in the manuscript for #4, which begins well (I haven't finished it yet).

However, if anyone sees a mistake--and there are some--or has something to say about any of the nonfiction or the Scholastic books (my areas), please drop me an email. These books are fairly complex and fairly difficult to put together, so errors slip in--but I'd like to correct them in the second printings, so eventually we achieve something akin to perfection. ha! ha!

So keep in touch,
all the best,
