From Folsom to Bountiful to CIV
Hi Folks,
I just got back from CIV and a short book signing tour before that, and so I wanted to thank everyone who came either to the signings or the panels, or the meet-and-greet or whatever. It was a lot of fun.

I was amazed by how much people know about the subject and the enthusiasm for a film that came out more than 30 years ago. Thanks to you the book made it to #12 on amazon.com and on to the NY Times Bestseller list (#25, but not bad for a $75 book). It's fantastic to get people showing me the newspaper ad from when they saw Star Wars originally, and to see little kids with their lightsabers and in costume!

Now I'm turning my full attention to the Indy publishing program--but in doing so I almost forget that we have a few great Star Wars books coming out this fall: Steve Sansweet and Pete Vilmur's The Star Wars Vault, Matthew Reinhart's Star Wars Pop-Up Guide to the Galaxy, and Ryder Windham's The Rise and Fall of Darth Vader, and he's written the Essential Guide to the Force, Jedi vs.Sith, too.

Last but not least, a special shout-out to those who inducted me into the 501st--my kids were thrilled--and to the 501st in general and at large. Thanks for standing guard, too, at appropriate venues, and to the group who helped on the BBC shoot!

Till next time,
J. W. Rinzler

It was cool seeing you at the publishing panel on Saturday! I was hoping to meet you in person sometime, but I wasn't able to make it to the meet and greet or the signings. Maybe next time! :)
