As fellow Star Wars fans, Im sure you can agree on the importance of continuity when it comes to movies that we have a fondness for. I went to check out some info on the new Spiderman 3 movie that is due out in May 2007, and, low and behold, i was presented with this poster, which looks great. However, there is a continuity issue with this poster. If Spiderman is going to wear the black suit, as they say he is. That tells us two things. 1. the villain will be Venom, hence the black suit. and 2. Harry Osborn will not be returning as the Green Goblin. There are a couple of problems with this situation. First, Spiderman 2 ended with Harry finding the lair of his father, who was secretly the Green Goblin, the end of that movie suggested that he would be the main villain in the next film. Second, the suit itself is inaccurate. The Venom suit did not pattern itself after Spidey's red and blue suit. As you can see here, Spidey's costume looks way different than the one in the official poster.

If that's how they plan to do Spiderman 3, they will alienate many of the die-hard fans who have followed Spidey for years.
