I got caught on the internet at work today, checking out the blogs. Did I get in trouble? I'm not so sure. Actually, the person who caught me became quite interested in what I was doing and asked me point blank:
"Are you a Star Wars junkie?"
Yes! I said an resounding
"Yes!"
It occurred to me that I
am in fact a "junkie" as she called me.
junk-ie also junk-y [
juhng-kee]
noun
informal
1. A person with an insatiable craving for something
2. One who has an insatiable interest or devotion;
3. Somebody whose interest in or liking for something resembles an addiction
This definition describes me perfectly! I had always thought of myself as the proverbial Star Wars geek, nerd, etc, but
junkie I had never even considered.
Star Wars to me is my escape from reality. I can't seem to go a day without it. I crave it. Whether it's the movies, a book, or this web site, I just can't live without it. And never will! Just bury me in my grave with my 1977 Star Wars blanket (you know the one I'm talking about)
So will this give me a little more freedom at work to peruse the internet? No, I just happened to get caught by the right person.....this time.....
They need to wear louder shoes!

ps: I want to give a special thank you to
brooklooineghost for lighting that fire under me to start reading my EU books. After a good cry, I started Outbound Flight last night and so far I'm loving it! Thanks, brook!
