Not one, but TWO!
Hi, all!

I gotta tell you, my day started out pretty dandy! I heard not one, but two Star Wars references today before my morning caffeine! The first one came in the morning paper.....a picture on the front page, you all have no doubt seen it. The caption my newspaper chose was (you guessed it) Star Wars.:D

This is a pretty neat article, if you haven't seen it, I took the liberty of linking it for you. (Not my local paper, but it'll work)

The second reference came on the way to work. On a classic rock station on the radio, it was (of course) "two for Tuesday" There were a bunch of different people saying the number "two". Then lo and behold, in the middle of this sea of "twos" came Yoda's voice saying "Always two there are" !! I'm sure the people in the cars next to me were probably wondering who the idiot was driving with that cheesy grin across her face. :^O

I know this was a silly entry, but it made my day. I just had to share.

I'm so glad you did! :D

I just love it when there's a SW reference. I was watching an Amanda Bynes movie yesterday (can't remember its title, but she's in England trying to bond with her dad), and, to her young beau, who's trying to teach her something of English propriety, she calls him "Obi-wan Kenobi." I just smile. :D Broadly. We need more Star Wars in our lives! :D

Aw, I'm so glad you had a couple of bright spots in your day! I'm just finishing up Darth Bane right now, so I'm learning all about how the rule of 2 came to be. ;)

the local morning show here in Philly played this neat version of Chewbacca singing "Silent Night"....if I can find it online I will link it somehow....

We need more Star Wars in our lives! You can never have TOO much, can you?

I'm just finishing up Darth Bane right now, so I'm learning all about how the rule of 2 came to be. Ooh, that's heavy. I'm still debating whether or not to read that one. Tell me if it's worth it or not!

why your blog made me think of that Im not sure... Perhaps the mention of the radio station..... just a guess. ;)

Don't assume!!! Well.....I didn't mean that it was on the front page of EVERY paper. I think our newspaper's editor must be a Star Wars fan. Either that or it was a light news day in the city. :p

Well, it's WAY better than anything I've read from the New Jedi Order so far...so yes. Definitely worth it. ;) If nothing else, it breaks up that loooong series of books...

That link was cool - I'm such an astronomy geek, but I hadn't heard about that nebula - so thanks for updating me! :)

the people in the cars next to me were probably wondering who the idiot was driving with that cheesy grin across her face LOL!! Thant happens to me all the time! Any more, with Bluetooth phones, cars that you can audibly command to play music and the like, it's not uncommon for us to be "talking to ourselves" these days anyway! :p

P.S.... IMHO, Darth Bane was AMAZING. I didn't think I'd get into it, being like 1000 years before what we are "familiar with", but it was GREAT! I can't wait till the next one comes out at the end of this month! *Merry late Christmas to me* ! :D

Don't even think TWICE about it! It's the best SW book I've read and I've read a lot of them. Not saying other's aren't fantastic, but I just LOVE that book! Can't WAIT for Dec 26 for the sequel!! Woo-hoo!

One time...I can't remember when, though...I was looking through the movie section, when I noticed a little article about popcorn (yummy in itself ;) ). Well, the closer I looked, the more I realized that the movie that was on the television in the photo was...ANH!!!!

I just love finding SW references like this...whether it be in the newspaper, on tv (news, shows, etc.), or on the radio. It always brings a smile to my face :D

I'm such an astronomy geek, Oh, me, too!!! I've spent many a night out in my back yard just star gazing.

it's not uncommon for us to be "talking to ourselves" these days anyway! More than once I've answered someone who was walking down the hall at work when they were on their cell phone to someone else, with just an ear piece in their ear. How was I supposed to know they were on their phone? You can't tell!

Well my dear, you started your day off with Star Wars and I've ended my day with Star Wars.

I just got done watching 'House Hunters' and the folks selling their house had a home theater with the original Star Wars movie pictures hanging up on the wall. I'll have sweet Star Wars dreams tonight. :)
