I Have a Bad Feeling About This!

Where has GB been?
That's a question you may...or may not have been asking. If not, well, whatever. Just stop reading and click your little back button up there.

I know I've been a little scarce around these parts, Suffice it to say, I've just been out of it for a little while. Thankfully, I'm feeling much better now, and I can get back to the things I love. Namely, this place and all who inhabit it. :x

Let me give you a quick recap on my summer..... My daughter and her family FINALLY moved out of my house, and as happy as I am to have my life back, I miss them twice as much. I miss not seeing those little elfin faces every day!

I took a business trip to San Francisco earlier in the year, and as a little side trip, met up with some dear friends. We ate at a restaurant called Mel's, that had wall to wall pictures of a young George Lucas. But that wasn't the highlight (of course!!!!) Our time together was entirely too short, but it was a week night, and everyone had to be at work the next day. But we did hitch a ride back to the hotel with Nobby and Pidluk, and got an impromptu tour of San Francicso... ;) ...giggle giggle

About three weeks ago, I took a tumble and broke my foot. Yeah, that really hurt. I got in between our two big dogs while I was letting them out, and one of them spotted a cat. It was one of those slow motion things where you knew it was going to be bad, but there wasn't a darn thing you could do about it. And you know, it's just KILLING me not to be able to walk my 2 miles a day I'm used to. My doctor told me to give it three more weeks. Three more weeks!

After putting my beloved Peanut to sleep, I finally filled that void with a new addition. Her name is Alley. You know, as in Alley Cat? I rescued her when she was only 3 weeks old. We had to bottle feed her for about a week until she learned to drink milk from a bowl. And Lexi just loves her kitty! (not sure if this was the guilty party in my great foot accident, or her accomplice....BTW, his name is Hoss. Appropriate, yes?

I just finished watching Return of the Jedi on Spike......again. And that old familiar and wonderful feeling overtook me. (how I missed that feeling!!!) I found myself glued to the TV. Sure, it's not like I own all the movies on DVD and VHS (except for ROTS, sadly. My collection will never be complete), but I just couldn't even take a potty break! Crazy, huh? At least I fought off the urge to grab the VCR remote to tape the parts I missed.

And in watching ROTJ for the millionth time, I STILL came up with some questions! You remember my questions, don't you? Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. I'm feeling the love now!

I know there was mass chaos and there were people running here and there, but when Luke was dragging Vader across the docking bay floor, did anyone else see them? Or were they just concerned with saving their own butts? Where's the loyalty? And by the way, couldn't Luke have used the Force to assist him in getting his father to the ship? Just askin'.

And was Luke really THAT much shorter than his father?

Anyway, I just wanted you all to know that I'm back and feeling better than ever, except for my right lower extremity.........

And I want to give a special thank you to all my Sisters out there for all their love and support this summer. :x :x I don't think I would have made it without them. And I do promise not to fade to black......EVER!
