Earlier this year, my fiance came across someone selling unfinished pieces of a Boushh costume they no longer wanted to complete. We bought the pieces, and I thought we'd put all of it away until we had time to work on it.

And we're coming to my last costume entry... for a little while at least. My favourite costume from Episode III was far and away Padme's funeral dress. I loved the colours, and the pre-raphaelite look, like a drowning Ophelia.

I can honestly say I never really cared one way or the other about this costume of Leia's - it was always just sort of "there," if you know what I mean. I did want to make it, however, just because I'm trying to finish all of her costumes.

I was so tickled by the fact that there were posed promo pictures of Corde (Padme's decoy at the beginning of Episode II) in the blown-up version of her outfit. I had always thought, "that would be a hilarious costume," but it wasn't until summer 2006

That scene in Episode II haunts me - everytime I see it, I want to capture that flowy, silky motion of the dress, with the light shining through it - to me, it's absolutely the most beautiful dress in all of Star Wars.

I saw these photos of these outfits they were originally going to make for the Princess Leia doll back in the 70s. They never sold them, but the artwork and photos absolutely cracked me up - specifically the one of her "Poncho" outfit!
