Tomorrow, I leave for a trip to Michigan. I have been looking forward to it for a very, very long time.

I look forward to staying in a Bed-and-Breakfast for a week. I look forward to sleeping in. I look forward to being without the Internet (shocking, right?).

I look forward to being away from Washington, D.C. and the attendant insanity of listening to the political dribble-drabble as we move from primary season to election season, when everyone salivates for the best soundbite and sensible people forget...well, sense, and vote for incumbents who have been entrenched in our government, literally for decades, and then forget that the incumbent they are voting for is part of the problem. Don't act like your incumbent is any different - they're not.

I look forward to a week and a half of sanity. I may try to make another blog entry tomorrow before I go (a few topics are rolling around in my noggin sure to tick off more than a few of you), but the odds are slim.

So may you all be well, may you remember to treat everyone with the same respect you think you deserve and, of course...
