Kessel Korner
Fans talk about everything, from the minute to the grandiose, from characters to plot. Kessel Korner is instead focused on the metaphorical, metaphysical and mythological layers that Mr. Lucas laid throughout his sweeping epic; I am not concerned so much with the machinations of the plot so much as what those machinations mean.

I like the more implicit intricacies of Star Wars, the things which are said without words and the places that are seen without senses. That does not mean I won't discuss plot and character - I will. But I prefer to approach it from a different angle, one that perhaps you have yet to consider yourself.

Sometimes, when I'm inspired, I will also rant about other things. And I love to rant. Almost as much as I love Star Wars. That's a lot.

Who Weeps for Dooku? Count Dooku found little sympathy within the ranks of the Jedi. He seems to have found even less among the fans, and it's always been a bit puzzling to me.

The Critical Eye Discussions about acting in the Star Wars series, specifically the prequels, are starting to pop up in the wake of the Oscar nominations. Once again, the discussion focuses on Hayden Christensen, the unfairly attacked acting talent of the prequel series.

It's an Experimental, Independent Film I've exhausted myself on rants about awards shows. But I realized that while Hollywood lauds the "independent" films nominated for the meaningless Oscars, they completely overlooked the most experimental, independent film of 2005.

Thanks for Proving me Right! This is a follow-up blog to my earlier rant about the irrelevance of awards shows. I watched the nominations this morning, and felt extremely vindicated in my opinion.
