Kessel Korner
Fans talk about everything, from the minute to the grandiose, from characters to plot. Kessel Korner is instead focused on the metaphorical, metaphysical and mythological layers that Mr. Lucas laid throughout his sweeping epic; I am not concerned so much with the machinations of the plot so much as what those machinations mean.

I like the more implicit intricacies of Star Wars, the things which are said without words and the places that are seen without senses. That does not mean I won't discuss plot and character - I will. But I prefer to approach it from a different angle, one that perhaps you have yet to consider yourself.

Sometimes, when I'm inspired, I will also rant about other things. And I love to rant. Almost as much as I love Star Wars. That's a lot.

Cut Scene Crybabies We are all very familiar with the mantra of the Cut-Scene Crybabies. With the transparency of the Episode III filmmaking process, these people had tons of time to formulate opinions about scenes they never saw in the context of even the roughest cut.

In Memoriam,or: I Want a Blue Ghost at Christmas I know that there are a lot of people with lives that face difficult challenges - the type I am thankful I do not need to face on a daily basis. There is one trial I wish I could do away with.

The Long-Overdue "Yay I Ran the Marthon" Entry The last month at work has been extremely difficult, and I've been remiss at tending to the old blog. This is the first of several entries I have been sitting on, and I'm sorry that it took so damned long.

Almost There... One week more until the marathon! I'm really proud of my wife for everything she has done to this point, and I know she is going to do really, really well when we go for the 26.2!

It's Likely That Mr. Lucas Doesn't Know George Lucas knows a lot about Star Wars. He does not, however, know that Plo Koon was a better fighter than Saesee Tinn - or that Tinn was a better pilot than Koon.

Tapering to the Finish Well, the next two weeks begin the process in marathon training known as "tapering". It's a process where you decrease the weekly (and daily) miles you run, as well as the pace, in the time leading to the big day.

How I Grew to Love Boba Fett thanks to the Prequels I'm about to get inundated with hate mail, and possibly burned as a heretic, but here goes. Boba Fett was a minor character, whose entire mystique - "I'm so evil even Darth Vader respects me" - was destroyed by his legion of psychotic fans.
