Why does almot everyone love the Jedi? What draws us to them? We love them because they are fearless in the face of death, and always hoping for the classic good triumphing over evil.
But even more, what is it that draws death to the Jedi Order? How can a group that is viewed with high repsect be so susceptable to death?
It would seem that every millenia or so, something comes along and wipes out or scatters the Jedi into hiding. It happened in the Jedi Civil War - Jedi that went to figt in the Mandalorian Wars came back as brutal, conquering Sith under the command of Darth Revan. After they were destroyed, more Sith took their place, but these struck from the shadows, murdering what Jedi survived the wars. The last remaining Jedi, later named Exile, destroyed these Sith.
The Jedi yet again felt great casualties in the year 1000 BBY. The Sith had returned under the command of Lord Kaan, Lady Githany, and Darth Bane, and had launched all out assaults on the Republic. The Jedi went to the planet Ruusan, where they sparked what many hoped would be the last war between light and dark. Lord Hoth of The Army of Light led many Jedi and Republic troops against the Brotherhood of Darkness. When Lord Kaan Released a thought bomb, all Jedi and Sith on Ruusan, minus Darth Bane, died.
A millenia later, the Jedi were yet again running for cover with the rise of the Empire. Yet again the Jedi were dealt a deathblow, with most of the order murdered under Order 66.
And my final point in this very long blog is when the Yuuzhan Vong arrived in the New Republic. The Jedi Knights of the New Jedi order fought bravely but were no match for the powerful aliens. The Knights fled into hiding once again. Eventually the Jedi banded together and helped defeat the Vong, but not without loss of life
So what makes death follow the Jedi. Is it the will of the force? Please help me. It's making me crazy
