Okay I know I havent blogged for a bit but I have a good reason. I couldnt publish a blog on Ewoks because it was no good and because it was a bit bad. I'll publish it this week I promise!
But on to my challenge! I read books really fast. I finished the final Harry Potter book in 5 hours and 17 minutes. And when I told my friend that last night in a big "I'm better than you" contest he set me a incrediblely big challenge! I have to read all of the books in the NJO series in a week. Thats right I have to read all 27 stories by Monday. I've already read 4 since yesterday. I'm on Jedi Eclipse 2 and about halfway though. I've read most of them before but it'll be good to do it again.
I've been working on NJO on and off for a few months. It's comforting to know that months of my life are being eclipsed by a few mere hours of yours, just because of a dare.
jk Seriously, though, good luck, and don't forget to have fun!
...I had a teacher once who told me that when people speed-read, their eyes don't move along each line like during regular reading. Instead, they take in three lines of text or so at a time, with their eyes constantly moving down. Can you confirm or deny this?
I read really fast too. It takes roughly 20-25 minutes per hundred pages, and I can give a detailed summary of books I read years ago at the same pace, having never touched it since.
