Several years back I used to say my twin loves were "Star Wars and Shakespeare". Not much has changed recently, except adding a few new loves so it's not simply two anymore. There was the intense 4 years of Lord of the Rings, which for me started in late 2000 when I read the books for the first time and continued until at least 2004 and The Return of the King Extended Edition. Somehow Attack of the Clones was squeezed in there, but not given near as much attention as was Episode I in the glorious summer of '99.
Anyway, it seems that for the moment I am so back into Star Wars. I joined Hyperspace as soon as it started, not only because I have been a fan club member for many years, but because I was quite interested in the unfolding of filming activities for Episode 3. I was terribly worried about getting too spoiled, but in the end did all right by just sticking to a good portion of that released by official sources.
Seeing Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith was both wonderful and sad. I really wound myself getting invovled with line-waiting plans and such, but in the end was able to fully enjoy the movie. But it's the last one! And what a way to end. I think I will have to write a full review some other time (like not during the work day) but I definitely loved this movie a lot. However, as I have told everyone around me who asked (resident SW expert and all) which of the SW movies are my favorite - I completely honestly answer that "I do not rank the Star Wars movies." Well I don't! Each and every one of them have lots of good and few flaws - especially when viewed many times each. Really what I like to concentrate on are elements that may be found anywhere in the saga that appeals to me at the moment - a great musical theme, a significant look, an important character moment, etc.
Another answer to a common question ("Did it meet your expectations?") has been the same since 1999--
"I had no expectations because I knew it would be perfect".
