Jedi Victory in the Revenge of the Sith
Look at the picture. That is Darth Vader!! Once, he was Anakin Skywalker, Jedi Knight, known as the Hero without fear. From his conception by the Midi-Chlorians by the will of the Force until his death, also by the Will of the Force.....He was the CHOSEN ONE. Being the chosen one means that he was the most powerful living being alive. His body was a super charged conduit for the force. His potential power was greater than the greatest of Jedi masters, Masters like Yoda, Mace Windu, and arguably Master Kenobi. He was prophesied to bring balance, to the all-encompassing Force. The energy field that is in all things, the energy field that binds all things, created and sustained by life, the great mystery endowing both Jedi and Sith with incredible power.......................Look at the picture again....That is Darth Vader, on Mustafar, the Chosen one........And he is a Sith Lord!!!! The most powerful living being in the galaxy is allied with an order that takes its power from the dark side of the Force.:O. The Revenge of the Sith was so effective because the sith had the Chosen One on their side. However, as the title for this blog suggests, there was an incredible Jedi victory over the Sith, before the Jedi hid, waiting for a new hope to defeat the darkness.
Master Obi Wan Kenobi, legendary Jedi Master. Perhaps, one of the most underrated Jedi in history, is the jedi responsible for the previously stated victory. Imagine if Darth Vader was victorious in that battle with his former mentor on Mustafar. Obviously, one quickly thinks of Luke being deprived of "Old Ben" to guide him in the ways of the Force. Of the Rebels having no General Kenobi to turn to as their only hope. I'm sure many of us have stopped to think about how Powerful Vader would have become if it wasn't for his injuries............... My reason for saying all this, is this....A statement from Obi wan "he's more machine now, than man" while not a statement of Vader's weakness. It is important for our purpose. You see, Vader himself once cautioned certain imperial officers with words similar to these......."Do not be so proud of this technological marvel you've constructed, the ability to destroy a planet, is insignificant next to the Power of the Force." He's saying that technology is alien to the Force. While it is true, that the Force is in ALL things, the Force is created by LIFE, and it is LIFE, not technology that makes it grow.
Darth Vader, after Mustafar had become more machine than man. His artifical limbs and life support systems, these technological marvels that have replaced his natural limbs and organs, were nothing compared to what he had been born with. Those limbs he lost, and his burned lungs and insides were Full of Midi-Chlorians. His high Midi-Chlorian count, and thus, his connection to the force had been significantly diminished. Devastatingly diminished. The Chosen one he remained, but as powerful as he was before Mustafar, he would never be. Even Master Yoda, hinted at this, in his fight with Darth Sidious, when the Dark Lord says "Vader will become more powerful than either of us" Yoda retorts that his faith in his new apprentice, "misplaced may be" knowing full well that the Powerful Master Kenobi was on his way to deal with Vader. And after that fight with Master Yoda, Lord Sidious had a premonition from the force..."I sense that Lord Vader is in danger" In danger? Vader was the Chosen one, the most powerful being in the galaxy! Palpatine prepared Anakin to be his apprentice for that purpose. The force helped palpatine realized that his new apprentice's Power was not enough for the power and wisdom of one Obi Wan Kenobi.
Master Obi Wan Kenobi crippled Darth Vader, the most powerful being in the Galaxy. Cutting off Vader's remaining natural limbs and leaving him to burn at the side of a river of lava, Obi Wan grabbed a small but significant victory for the Jedi. Obi Wan weakened the most powerful new enemy of the Jedi. Look at the picture, that is Darth Vader in all his Dark Power! Let us thank Master Obi Wan Kenobi, servant of the light, for reducing Vader into a weaker sith than he could have become....................And thank you all, for reading this massive entry.....May the Force be with you....always.;)
