"Let go you must of that which you fear to lose" (Dark V. Light part 1)
This is Part 1-Soon I will bring you the other side of the argument, could be fun....Can't wait to see what happens...

"I can feel your anger. It gives you focus! Makes you stronger!" These lines delivered with clear relish and sinister glee are spoken by Palpatine, AKA Darth Sidious to a conflicted and currently betrayed Anakin Skywalker. I must say, I can't wait to get the DVD, and go through that scene with a fine comb. I watched episode 3 in the movie theater 4 times and I'm still hungry for that scene, all the subtleties, I mean, how the hell did Anakin just turn off his lightsaber! I mean it was the Sith Lord he just discovered, or rather who just admited to him whom he really was. In the face of this giant betrayal, he could not accept that Palpatine was the real enemy. Palpatine had befriended him all his life, had been Anakin's sympathetic ear and confidant. Had been his mentor. In episode2 anakin relates to palps how much he has helped him, while the future tyrannical emperor whispers in Anakin's ear how he's better than Master Yoda.

That is the nature of evil, to take a little lie and wrap it in truth. In the case of Anakin Skywalker, He was the Chosen One, spoken of in Ancient Jedi prophecy that would bring balance back to the force. The sith lord used this truth, a truth which Anakin was attached to and corrupted it with a little lie known as pride, telling Anakin that he was being held back, kept down by the Jedi, that he was better than the Jedi, That he was better than everyone, that he should have all the power...that he needed to take it. Anakin, influenced by this, allowed his greed to take over the truths taught by the Jedi, and later believed that the Jedi were evil, that only his will can bring the galaxy to order, to peace, that he is the chosen one, and It is His way or the highway.

Because he believed all this, because he convinced himself that Palpatine was right was the reason he couldn't see the evil, so evident in the picture chosen for this blog. All he saw was the opportunity to save his wife, whom he married in secret, who he greedily wanted to keep from dying, a person he couldn't let go of. Not only because he loved her, but because he did not want to lose her, it was always me me me with anakin, he did not like change, he wanted to control everything in his life, with not regards to what would be best. HIs visions were showing him what would happen if he continued down the dark path, he lost her because he couldn't let go of her. He reached out to her and instead choked her, he fulfilled what he did not want to happen, he traded her love for misery and death. Because of his lust for power he made an allegiance with an evil greater than any that the galaxy had seen, and he did it willingly and knowing what he would have to do in order to join the Sith. His anger did not give him focus, it gave him obsession, it did not make him stronger, but a slave to the corrupting power from which he now drew his strength. Twisted by the Dark side, consumed by Darth Vader, or his greed and lust for power.

Look at the picture, are You willing to sell your soul to that? Is a life full of debilitating hate, and incessant suffering worth the power that he would offer, an unnatural power that is not in harmony with nature or the force. The Dark side is a lie, it is a corruption of the balanced harmony of the Force. It is power used for evil means. The DArk side is your own selfish desires, your imperfect will imposed on others. Light is the truth that chases away the darkness......:)
