Our next competitor is the first Sith Lord to to bring the Sith Empire out of hiding...and bring the Sith scourge upon the unsuspecting Republic!!! I give you...
Naga Sadow!!!
Naga Sadow~The Dark Jedi Exiles who defied the Jedi Order to folloe the Dark Side had been banished from known space after the conclusion of the Hundred Year Darkness at the Battle of Corbos. In the words of the Sith Lord Marka Ragnos, "We turned our exile into victory here on the far side of the Galaxy". The victory Ragnos spoke of was the discovery of the primitive Sith people, whom the Dark Jedi quickly enslaved, declaring themselves to be Dark Lords of the Sith. The Sith people were awed by the Exiles, and swore loyalty to their Dark Lords. The Dark Lords went on to unite the Sith people under their rule, forming a Sith Empire. Over the course of two thousand years, the Sith Empire grew to be rich and powerful, having conquered over 120 worlds. Over time, some of the Dark Jedi chose to interbreed with the Dark Sided Sith species through the use of Sith Alchemy.
A powerful Sith Lord named
Naga Sadow was a half breed, and a descendant of the Dark Jedi Exiles.
Following the death of the powerful Sith Lord Marka Ragnos, Sadow challenged his rival, Ludo Kressh for the mantle of Dark Lord. The two engaged in a sword duel in Rangos' tomb on Korriban. Sadow had gained the upper hand, when the spirit of Ragnos interrupted their duel and told them that this was the Golden Age of the Sith. The fate of the Sith Empire hung in the balance.
Around the same time, two hyperspace explorers named Gav and Jori Daragon arrived on Korriban from the Republic...
Where Kressh and his followers saw a threat, Sadow saw an opportunity. Kressh believed that the Daragons were spies from the Republic, and urged the Sith Council to execute them immediately. Sadow however, believed that if he could deceive the Daragon siblings into trusting him, he could secretly release them so they could lead the Sith Empire to the Republic.
Through a series of deceptions, Sadow released Jori Daragon to leave the Sith Empire and return to the Republic, killing his mentor
Simus in the process. He returned to the Sith Council, and making them believe that the Republic planned to make war against the Sith Empire, he convinced the Council that he was best fit to protect the Empire. Ludo Kressh had also earned the loyalty of some Sith, and he too declared himself Dark Lord, in opposition to Sadow. Sadow, who had taken the Force Sensitive Gav Daragon as his apprentice, engaged in several skirmishes with Kressh and his followers before defeating him through the use of several brilliantly deveptive maneuvers.
Sadow and the Sith Lords under his command went on to wage war against the Republic. Sadow's fierce Massassi warriors went on to defeat the Republic in many battles with the help of Sadow's mastery of Sith Illusions. Sadow and the Sith went on to successfully wage their war against the Republic until Gav Daragon turned from the Sith ways, betraying Naga Sadow. The tides of war turned in favor of the Republic, when Gav prevented Sadow from using his Sith Illusions. Sadow in turn used his Force powers to cause a nearby star to supernova, killing Gav Daragon, and many of the Republic ships with him.
Eventually, Sadow retreated to Yavin IV with his Massassi warriors when he realized that he had lost the war. He put himself in a Stasis Chamber, where he was awoken nearly 600 years later by the Dark Jedi Freedon Nadd. Nadd apprenticed himself to Sadow, and it is speculated that Nadd may have killed Sadow, though Sadow's true fate is unknown...
Sadow was a master of deception and manipulation, much like many other Sith. Much of his use of the Force revolved around manipulating the thoughts of his enemies, and followers. Sadow was proficient at projecting Sith Illusions to dishearten his enemies, allowing the Sith to score many victories. Force lightning also appears to have been a power in Sadow's arsenal, as well as telekinesis. He had learned much of ancient Sith teachings, delving into the art of Sith Alchemy, and Sith Sorcery. He was known to have manipulated solar activity, destroying two stars in the Great Hyperspace War which he waged against the Republic. He was a competent swordsman, as he was able to best Ludo Kressh in a duel of Sith Swords. He was an excellent military strategist, using deceptive strategies to defeat his arch-rival, Ludo Kressh.
Sadow's negatives...
Sadow's war against the Republic was unsuccessful, and his over ambition brought an end to the Golden Age of the Sith Empire. After the end of the Great Hyperspace War, the Sith had little or no influence on the grand scale of the Galaxy (although Freedon Nadd became a Dark Lord, his ambitions did not spread beyond the planet of Onderon.) It was not until Exar Kun attempted to restore a Golden Age of the Sith that the Sith were restored to the galactic stage...
I guess that sums up Part 7!!!
Hope you enjoyed!!! Part 8 (the conclusion) will be coming tomorrow!!! I'll be counting on
LOTS of feedback to make the "greatest Sith" decision.
DON'T LET ME DOWN!!!
