Salvation for a Broken Soul
Here's another one...this time about Luke:

Once upon a time a young man there was.
Very troubled was he, mostly because
He lived on a farm and dreamed of escape;
He did not know his whole life would reshape.
Of his Tatooine absence, death was the cause
After two droids he purchased from many Jawas.
To Mos Eisley spaceport he went with Old Ben,
But fate brought him near the sight of death again,
As Leia's home planet of Alderaan was blown
To pieces, she was left without a home.
So Luke Skywalker joined the Rebel Alliance,
Which had been formed for the Empire's defiance,
And much good he did, the Death Star he destroyed
With the aid of the Force, not computer nor droid.
After this to the system of Dagobah he went;
To Master Yoda himself he did present.
Yoda helped teach him the ways of the Force,
So that he could be a Jedi, of course.
Cut short was his training due to a sight
Of the future; his friends were in quite a plight.
Off to Cloud City he flew to their aid,
But really he flew to an awful trap made
By Darth Vader, who told him a terrible truth;
Vader was his father; this burdened his youth.
Fought Vader he did with his lightsaber too,
But evil Lord Vader his own son slew.
Luke lost his hand but in no way his heart;
He resisted the Dark Side and jumped to depart
And fell to a barely escapable death,
But this moment would not hold his very last breath,
For Luke called to Leia, though she was afar,
And she knew where he was, which was so bizarre.
She saved him; he got a prosthetic arm,
Luckily, to him, done was no harm.
That Leia was his sister, Luke did learn,
When to know of his mother he truly did yearn.
In the end, Luke decided to save his father,
But to the Emperor, Luke was a bother,
So Luke to the Emperor, Vader brought,
And Father and Son so valiantly fought.
But the Dark Side was calling, Luke understood;
He discarded his lightsaber, fast as he could.
With Force-lightning strong, the Emperor tried to kill Luke,
But we now understand this effort was a fluke,
For Vader destroyed the Emperor bravely,
Though afterward Luke looked upon his dad gravely.
Vader would die; he could not be saved,
And to look on his son with his own eyes he craved;
Vader's dark mask Luke slowly removed;
Luke had rescued his father; this had been proved,
For Vader himself had told Luke so,
But now was the time for Vader to go.
A tear escaped from Luke's young eye,
As to his father he said goodbye.
Despite sadness, though, victory had come,
And Luke had aquired a great deal of wisdom,
For that very day, the galaxy Luke had saved,
And on history his name was engraved.
