"Failed, I have" - Yoda, Revenge of the Sith
"If one is to understand the great mystery, one must study all its aspects. Not just the dogmatic, narrow view of the Jedi. If you wish to be a complete and wise leader, you must embrace a larger view of the Force." - Darth Sidious, Revenge of the Sith
We all know the facts. Anakin is turned to the dark side by Palpatine, who utilizes his arrogance and lust for power to turn him aginst the Jedi.
Anakin stumbles into a trap which was set for him decades ago, and was sprung by Sidious.
But who set this trap, who placed the seeds of blind hatred in Anakin's mind?
We could go take easy way and say it was the Sith. But look a little closer, who is at the core of Anakin's fall?
The Jedi.
Let's go back to the very begining. 41 BBY, the year of Anakin's birth. He was created by the Force and thus had the highest midi-chlorian count of any Jedi.
How could the Jedi miss this? A being with such a high midi-chlorian count must have caused a ripple in the Force. He should have been shought out and brought back to the temple immedatly, for training. One of the council must have noticed this ripple, or at least
should have.
Are the Jedi so blind as to miss the most powerful Jedi, ever to be born?
The next flaw is one of the early Jedi, who founded the Order and (more improtantly) set its laws.
They did not allow a Jedi to love.
All beings need love, all beings need affection. Without it, a being can survive, but will live an uncompleted life.
Many Jedi have given away a part of thier hearts to a loved one (including, Obi-Wan and Qui-gon), only to be thrown out of the Jedi or separated from thier partner.
Luke changed this with the founding of the New Jedi order.
Anakin was, among other things, possibly worried that his forbiden love would be found out, and this was, pehaps, the reason for his nightmares.
Perhaps it was not only Anakin, but the entire Jedi Order, who where blinded by thier arogance.
