When I first found this article, entitled "Star Wars III - The Backstroke of the West", I didn't know what to make of it. Then I read on. And it turned out to be worth it. Not only worth it, but hilarious! And yes, I know I say that a lot. But when you have a franchise as monumentally gargantuan as
Star Wars, practically everything is worth seeing. Well, except for a few things I could name (I'm looking at you,
Holiday Special). But the point I'm trying to make is that if you like
Star Wars and you like mistranslations of Episode III, then this article is for you. It has screen captures from an English --> Chinese --> English translation of the films. That basically means that the English subtitles are not captioned from the film itself, but rather from the Chinese translation of the film.
My personal favorite is how a line from the scene on Grievous's flagship got translated into:
"Giving first aid the already disheveled hair projecton." You just can't make this stuff up, folks.
