Another Marvolo7 theory? We're doomed!

Not really. Kids, this is what happens when it's late at night, you're bored, and you attempt to be funny on livejournal. Pay attention while I explain.

Yes, that means averting your eyes from the gratuitous Mace Windu image, complete with purple lightsaber.

See, if you haven't been living under a rock for the past little while, you may be aware of the new Star Wars comic series, Legacy. Now, when this little idea was exposed to a hoard of cynical and over-obsessed fanboys, it was met with all sorts of controversy:

You can't set a comic series one hundred years after Legacy of the Force! It destroys everything that Luke, Han, and Leia worked for by ruining a previously happily-ever-after ending! You can't bring back the Sith! What about the prophecy? That Sith is just a Twi'lek Darth Maul! What is she wearing, anyway? Just who is this Cade Skywalker clown? He's just a Quinlan Vos clone! He's just another "badass" character! Isn't he a pirate? We can't have a pirate Jedi in Star Wars! This will absolutely ruin Star Wars forever and trample all over George Lucas' noble vision! OMG WTF!!!!!!!!

And so on and so forth.

Sick and tired of all those naysayers who were bashing a comic based on three images and a paragraph, I put my lousy photoshop skills to good use, and created:

And on June 7th, Legacy #0 came out, and it was pretty awesome.

So a few fans started discussing it over on livejournal. And, inevitably, the discussion quickly degenerated into a bunch of wild theories about who is sleeping together one hundred years prior to when the comic is actually set.

So I formulated a new theory. Just go with me on this for a second...

Firefly: Terraforming gone wrong.
Legacy: Terraforming gone wrong.

Firefly: All-powerful Alliance.
Legacy: Benevolent Empire.

Firefly: Main character is a former soldier, now a smuggler.
Legacy: Main character is a former Jedi, now a smuggler and bounty hunter.

Firefly: A Firefly-class ship, shaped like a Firefly.
Legacy: A ship named "the Mynock," sort of shaped like a Mynock.

Firefly: Female mechanic that keeps Serenity running despite a lack of coin.
Legacy: Female mechanic that keeps the Mynock running despite a lack of credits.

Firefly: Disciplined and powerful Operatives, devoted to the Alliance.
Legacy: Disciplined and powerful Imperial Knights, devoted to the Empire.


Conclusion: Legacy = Firefly in the GFFA.




In the words of Inara herself, "in your lonely pathetic dreams."

Oh well, I can always hold out for this concept in the television show.
