Ramblings from the Detention Center (Startled)

The Da Stoogie Code
Yeah, I was bored. But Stooge always has some cure for what ails you. I know it's been some time since I've written anything worth writing, let alone reading, so I decided to blog about something (that's right, I said thing) that we have all come to know and ...

Did you think I was gonna say love? Dang, I don't love the guy, give me a break!

I've had considerable down time here at the detention center and thought I'd take a look at the Stooge's early days, and, to be honest, some of his not so greatest hits.

Stooge has since deleted some of his earlier works, maybe for the better, so I won't be able to use those against him. But there is still some considerable fodder to be found within the depths of a deranged mind... wait, that was the profiler's description of me... never mind that last bit. Move along...

Your honor, I'd like to present Exhibit A. Note MasterMonkey's comment and the follow-up comment by the Stooge himself. Apparently there were uglier times...

Exhibit B - *gasp* Only one response from the author. He was either extremely busy... or he was just rude. I'm voting for the latter. ;)

Moving right along to the next "joke". Wow. Popularity staus: 0. Even Rex had no clue what's going on. And he's usually not that clueless.

Next up: Ouch, Borma Feng with a scathing review. Poor Stooge, maybe he was sick?

We now find ourselves with Stooge's very first (?) Limerick Friday! Uh-oh, looks like someone got sick of Stooge's nonsense and decided to post a friendly reminder that his jokes and limericks were not worthy of the SW blogs. Now who's laughing! Then there's the comment posted by Sterbp: what kind of name is thestooge for a starwars fan? Me thinks you're a faker

Indeed.

Seeing his coolness diminish even further, Stooge attempts to resurrect his career with a Knock-Knock joke. Well, at least he has his ever faithful fan, DictatorPalpa10... and why do people think their ideas are always better? But I digress...

That was all January. There were some more, but you get the hint - not a good month. Let's see if February is any better... hmmm... not a good way to start the month... and don't mess with the Sith...

Star Wars joke-a-day? More like Star-Wars-get-the-facts-wrong-a day - HA!

Go directly to March, do not pass Go, do not collect $200.

The winter doldrums end with a Knock-Knock joke. Holy Recognition, Batman! Then there's the 2nd Top 10. The 1st Top 10 wasn't bad, but this one seemed a little more ego-boosting. But notice how Stooge has yet to use his famed "replies to every single reply". Coward. :p Here we have another Limerick Friday. It appears that this may be the start of Stooge's popularity. The comments are full!! Classic. There's even an appearance by Luuke, and we get a glimpse of Stooge's "replies to every single reply". The anticipation builds... then dies... And we can't end March without a little controversy by rappingrancor.

April starts with good ol' Vicomte not getting it. And if it wasn't for Yoda's Pink Uncle, that joke would've gone nowhere. And no comments from Stooge. How wude. But he gets off his high horse by honoring us on his 6th Knock-Knock joke. Be on the look-out for rennygregory's well-timed zinger. And Vicomte's Vicomte-ish response. Brilliant. I personally think rennygregory was onto something... but he was blacklisted, so we'll never know. And Stooge is now in full-blown "reply to every single reply" mode. Looking good. Only took a few months! ;

So you can see the progression that Stooge has made almost 300 blogs later - his ups and downs, stinky jokes, to less stinky jokes, but most importantly, the time he takes to address everyone's comments, whether it's a fantastic one-liner or a groan inducing zinger (is this guy always on?). Then there's the classic method of dealing with trolls: can anyone say blacklist?

We all know how this ends... no, he's not dead! What a macabre lot you are - I mean ends up. Now we can't seem to get rid of the guy. But do we really want to? I for one don't. He's always on the home page, his jokes are non-stop and get cleverer and cleverer by the day, he's almost always taking over the Most Popular section, and he's even met The Maker himself! Looks like no one can take the sky away from him.

So please join me in giving Stooge a taste of his own medicine, but please keep it classy. No unnecessary, over-the-top crass. Leave that to the professionals. ;)
