I'm very happy because my backstory about Lieutenant Oicunn has been chosen to become part of the Star Wars Expanded Universe.

I always considered the "What's the Story?" contest a very interesting feature but, sadly, due to my pressing University engagements I wans't able to write many backstories: I started with the "Rodian mechanic" entry and, excluding Jabba's dancer, I "ended" with the chosen Lieutenant Oicunn ( well I hope I'll find more time to write more stories for the contest ).

At the time of Lieutenant Oicunn's appearance on the contest page I was already very busy but I always liked, writing a story about a Star Wars military officer, so I wrote the story during the pauses between my university lessons.

I thought it would be interesting linking this character with an element coming from the Revenge of the Sith deleted scenes ; so I decided to include the reference to Senator Bana Breemu, Humbarine's galactic representative:I "created" the friendship between Oicunn and the Senator making Humbarine the Lieutenant's Homeworld.
When I red on the databank about the tragical sotuation of this Sector I thought it would be a probable motive for Oicunn to be enthusiastic about the new Order promising peace and Justice.

I'm very happy, and honoured, and I want to say that the credit of this story it's not only mine but even of " jawajames1" who created Oicunn's first name. I want to thank the people of StarWars.com who selected the story, corrected it and inproved it.
