At the suggestion of bonniegrrl, I have compiled my site suggestions from the Message Board into this blog post. To find out how you can leave your own feedback, click here.
StarWars.com:
* Fix the page layout. This is a huge problem. If your browser window is smaller than the width of the page, the left side of the page is cut off. You can scroll right, but not left. This is a huge problem for me, because I use an external RSS reader with a content window that is slightly smaller than the width of StarWars.com. I have to maximize the window to see the left part of articles. This will probably also affect people with smaller resolutions. (I'm running at 1280x1024.)
* I'd love the ability to comment/share/rate videos. It's cool to be able to do it on articles.
* View comment history in user profiles. So, for example, if I post a comment, it'll show up in my "comment history" when you click on my profile.
* The ability to subscribe to comments via email or RSS for the entire site or specific articles.
NOTE: The last half of the post has not yet been approved.** I will update this with the last half as soon as it is.
Message Boards:
It would be great if the Message Boards had an RSS feed for each forum. That way, people who can't come to the message boards a lot can still catch up on what's going on. (Using Feed43, I was able to create an RSS feed for myself on few select forums (it won't work for the Hyperspace forum because of the password protection). You can
view one of them here.)
Blogs:
I will post by Blog change suggestions as soon as the mods approve** the post.
If I have any other ideas, I will update this thread.
**The three threads for making suggestions are in the Forum Feedback section of the Message Boards. Because of this, all posts must be approved by a mod before they appear. The above suggestions are just copies of what I posted there, and since I can't remember all my suggestions, I have to wait until they are approved so I can copy them here.
Update: Added an idea for the site.
Update 2: LucasOnline has been making a bunch of fixes to the site. I have made another post listing the changes I've found.
Click here to view them and post your own findings!
Thanks to LucasOnline for the making this the Blog of the Day!
