Using information that has been collected from the Jedi Archives, Master Eeth Koth has complied a debate to finally put an end to the question - Was the late General Grievous a Cyborg or a Kaleesh Warlord?
The General used to be a Kaleesh Warlord in his previous life. He was hired by Darth Sidious, an agreed to be Supreme Commander of all Droid Forces for the Separatists. Unknown to several Jedi, Grievous was actually present at Geonosis during the Arena battle. He was responsible for the carnage which occurred in the catacombs in Archduke Poggle the Lesser's Stalgasin Complex.
Before this, Grievous found his first hatred for Jedi, as one challenged him when he was still a Warlord, and lost. Grievous kept the sabre of master Purnoth and has expanded his collection whenever possible. It is supposedly said that Darth Tyrannus arranged a shuttle crash that nearly killed the Warlord. He was resurrected as a Cyborg (which the General is secretly ashamed to admit). All that was saved was his brain, his eyes and his vital organs. Grievous had several chips placed in his brain to make lightsabre training easier for him, and had several upgrades, such as an ultrasonic vocabulator, or his LX-44 legs, which have powerful magnetic feet.
Grievous can split his two arms into four, and spin his hands around to make deadly blurs of lightsabre colour. Yet, Obi-Wan Kenobi was not fooled, simply chopping away Grievous' two hands to lower the advantage that the Cyborg had.
Grievous still considered himself a Kaleesh Warlord regardless of his droid appearance. The marks above his eyes represented the marks of a Kaleesh Warlord, streaks of karabba-blood which were smeared on a Warlord's mask. The mask he used was carved from a muumu skull, a creature native to Kaleesh.
So - was Grievous a Cyborg or a Kaleesh Warlord? The answer is simple. He was a Cyborg. He was simply obsessed with believing he was still a Kaleesh Warlord that he slaughtered anyone who called him a droid. But the truth was that he was a droid, but would not admit it.
