So, you've seen REVENGE 20 times in the theaters. Its a long wait before the live-action Star Wars tv series hits airwaves. What's a decent space-opera epic fan to do?

Well, don't fret my friend. Joss Whedon's got you covered. It's only 2 weeks until SERENITY opens.

What's SERENITY?

Well, back in 2003, there was a brilliant TV series called Firefly. Think Han Solo, if the Millennium Falcon had about 5 more crew members and a couple of passengers on the run from the Empire. In a nutshell, that was Firefly (though with better dialogue. I love George Lucas, and ALL of the Star Wars films, but dialogue was never their strong point.).

Why should you go see this, if you never saw Firefly?

Because GOOD scifi needs to be supported. Legions went to see Revenge of the Sith, and rightly so. But SERENITY doesn't have the legions that went to see Star Wars. What it does have, is an excellent script, damn fine actors, and the best space-opera action I've ever seen outside of Star Wars.

Let's put it this way: Does America really need another Dukes of Hazzard, or do we want more good, smart sci-fi. 'Cause if more people go see that Dukes movie... well, you get the idea.
