Birthday Hello!

Hey y'all! I thought I would start up this blog on my birthday. Under the watchful eye of http://blogs.starwars.com/bonniegrrl , I will attempt to shed some light on my little corner of the world.
I am out at Skywalker Ranch today...not the worst place in the world to have your birthday I guess. Been out of the country recording for an upcoming project at Skywalker Sound, and also working with Ben Burtt once again! Life is good.

Happy Birthday Matt! I was the Star Wars artist who cornered you in the Artist Room at Celebration III and asked you to give me and my friends a sneak preview of your dialogue as GG from the then as yet to be released RotS. Thanks for being a good sport about it

By the way, my girlfriend gave you one of my General Grievous prints from Star Wars Insider magazine in SD for Comic Con while you were signing at the Official Pix booth.
I was stuck at my table in Artist Alley so I didn't get a chance to say hi. Btw, great performance in the film and at Steve's Comic Con panel... I'll never listen to that Disney song the same way ever again

Happy Birthday to a fellow Leo (I don't follow horoscopes, so that's a guess).

Anyway, I appreciate that you auditioned your voice like everyone else and without 'help.' Furthermore, hearing the coughing on my latest trip to see the movie again was also hilarious because I now know that some of it GL himself.

Nice touch to the future Star Wars Trivial Pursuit editions.

I forget to congratulating with You for the great work you did in ROTS: the voice of Grievous is great and very appropriate to the character: too bad in the Italian version they use an unworthy dubbing but I was still able to appreciate your work by playing the ROTS videogame and by watching the many trailers and on Nov.1 I'll have the DVD.
Once again congratulations Matthew.

I now always say, "man, my sister's been having this like, Grievous cough for 2 weeks." I always record myself and lower the pitch to sound like Grievous. You're doin awesome!!!

I hope you had a very special birthday Matt! I also met you at Celebration III. I must say I thought that knowing what a sweetheart you were would take a little edge off the character.
It didn't! I have heard rumors that at one time, Grevious was suppose to kill Shakk Ti. Pls let the power that be know the fans would like to see this as a deleted scene on the DVD! Keep us updated on everything you are working on! We (the fans) think you are awesome!!! I would love to know what the "When You Wish Upon a Star" thing is all about. It is hard for us Ohioans to make it to California!

hi matt and belated birthday greetings - looking forward to your online chat. just wanted to share about my last experience with RotS:
last night was final showing in my town and within a 140 mile radius. and with the exception of the first two rows it was SOLD OUT!..now why does this warrant removal??

general grievous makes his first appearance and when he spoke, one little guy jumped into his dad's lap.

i happen to love the voice, accent and cough - makes him distinct, gives him, uhhh focus.

What a great opportunity to personally thank Matthew Wood for his fantastic sound work and vocal contributions to "Revenge." Here, during the hot, hot Southern California summer it was such a respite to travel to the ultra-cool Arclight Theatres for a digital projection of the movie in the Dome! We were all transported to that "galaxy...far, far away," at least for a few hours.
