What's the situation, Captain?

Turkey day update
Hey there everyone!
Sooooooo..
I've been really busy lately, but I just wanted to say hello to everyone out there.

I just finished working "Munich", the new Spielberg film coming out next month. I had an amazing time travelling around the world recording sound effects for the film. It was a Herculean effort by the whole crew at Skywalker Sound, getting a film done so quickly. There are only 10 weeks of time between when shooting wrapped and release. I was working alongside many Star Wars alumni which made the job all the more fun.
While on the set in Malta, I was able to give Steven one of the stenciled Vader shirts made by Bonnie and the Lucas Online crew (used as this entries picture), he was happy to have it.

On top of that I went to a few conventions in Toronto, Holland and Belgium in between recording trips. While I was in Belgium I was inducted into the 501st by the German Garrison (thanks Markus TK-2902 and Chriss TD-0708!) and was presented with an amazing laser etched plaque. I will be mounting it on the wall in my office at the Ranch. One of the highlights of these recent cons was getting Jerome Blake to sound like Warwick Davis and Warwick Davis to sound like Grievous by using my sound processing gear that I bring with me to each show. If you missed me at these shows don't worry, I'll be hitting a few more cons as my schedule permits!

I've just started working on another project at Skywalker and as of right now it is just myself and Dave Acord (otherwise known as the GH-7 Medical Droid), but we will soon have more people on board. I'll keep you posted on our progress.

Thanks for tuning in. I hope to be blogging more in the future!
I have to remember there is only blog or blog not, there is no try...

Happy Thanksgiving to all the USA fans.

Cheers

Matthew
