Live from the Technical Building!
Hello from the Technicial Building at Skywalker Sound!

What is going on out here?
Well...
I am currently working on a feature for Revolution Studios
called "The Return of Zoom".

I just spent last week travelling from the Ranch to Warner Brothers Studios in Burbank to record Tim Allen, then on to SoundtrackNY in New York to record Chevy Chase and Michael Cassidy.

We are doing the post-production sound on this project and I have a mostly all Star Wars alumni crew working with me.

David Acord and I are sharing an office, so thankfully we both have an outlet for using Star Wars quotes in our daily activities.
We also have been working on some Star Wars related projects as well, but it is all in the early stages...life is good.:D

Haven't heard from you for awhile. Thanks for the updates. So, do you guys pretty much stay in teams and work on movies together? What I mean is, everyone that worked on sound of Ep. III, would that be a team that stays together to work on the other projects you do, or does it vary from project to project who you work with?

then on to SoundtrackNY in New York to record Chevy Chase

Man, he is one of my favorite comedic actors. I'm jealous for sure now.

Thanks for updating Matt!
You should let your fans know where you'll be signing and appearing next --
like Disney Weekends and such...

It is a pretty close knit group out here, and I tend to hire the same people each show.
Chevy was great to work with, professional and hilarious. Since Fletch, Caddyshack and Vacation are some of the touchstones of comedy for me, it was surreal to work with him...

Good to see you back out on the blogs again! Are there any new performances of the General's voice made for any new projects you can share with us? Commercials, shows, games, whathaveyou?

Anything that can be shared at this point with we, the plebes? My mama always told me it's not nice to tease, ya know...

All in due time. I have one of those neck security devices like Snake Plissken or the Battle Royale kids had installed to make sure no NDA's are violated....

As soon as I started reading this sentence, I started thinking of the The Running Man.

Though I guess that might be because I just watched it last night...

Anyway, I didn't think I'd get anywhere, but if ya never ask, ya never know...

Quick question for any of the LFL employees: I have no plans in the future to be out that way, but if I happen to be, does LFL offer tours of facilities? Other than just seening the Presidio park, I'd love to see the Letterman complex some day.

ph, why don't you hand me one of those sandwhiches we got at the gas station. I'm so hungy, I could eat a sandwhich from a gas station.
