I have come up with two separate lists of the top 10 characters from 2 eras, the Prequel Trilogy EU, and the Original Trilogy EU. None of these characters appear in any movies, so it is not an acting question. Here they are

Prequel Trilogy

10. Bok. A Morgukai warrior, he survives death more than once, and is cloned to form an army of the deadly Morgukai.

9. Zozridor Slake. Rogue pirate, raids Separatist facilities and is later involved in the Battle of Praesitlyn.

8. Ordo. A Null ARC trooper trained by Sergeant Kal Skirata, he answers only to him and treats him like a father. Ordo is a specialist in all skills, but especially apt at remembering everything he sees.

7. Zan Yant. Doctor of the Republic and master musician, his music is enjoyable by all species on Drongar. He is killed during a Separatist raid on the Republic base there.

6. Nejaa Halcyon. A Jedi master and a husband and father, Halcyon is assigned to the battle of Praesitlyn with Anakin. Halcyon is also the grandfather of Corran Horn, Rogue Squadron pilot.

5. Asajj Ventress. An extremely deadly and proficient Dark Jedi, Ventress wields two red lightsabers and carries a powerful grudge against the Jedi order for abandoning her master.

4. Kal Skirata. Mandalorian warrior, he helps train the Republic Commandos and his special Null ARCs. Works on Coruscant with Omega and Delta squads to destroy a Separatist terror cell.

3. Quinlan Vos. Undercover Jedi, walks dangerously close to the dark side, but is able to infiltrate Dooku's inner circle of Dark Jedi.

2. Durge. The most feared Separatist next to General Grievous, Durge is a powerful foe of formidable size and strength. The reason he is number two on my list is mostly because of his armor and weapons.

1. Alpha. Obi-Wan's friend, Alpha is an integral part in securing the battles of Kamino, Ohma D'un, and rescuing Obi-Wan and Anakin after their fight with Durge. Alpha is also imprisoned with Obi-Wan on Rattatak, and escapes with Obi-Wan. Alpha is a true warrior, and is brought to Kamino to give training to other new generation clone commanders. He is my personal Clone Wars character because of his style, ability, and absolutely great ARC trooper outfit.

And now the Original Trilogy.

10. Talon Karrde. Previously notorious smuggler, aids New Republic in Thrawn crisis and afterwards.

9. Mara Jade. Wife of Luke Skywalker, she is Force-Sensitive, and very quick acting. Was once Emperor's Hand and afterwards a smuggler under Karrde.

8. Ghent. The best Star Wars slicer, he cracks the top security Delta Source link that Thrawn used to get information and also worked for Karrde.

7. Booster Terrik. Smuggler form Corellia, father of Mirax Terrik, was caught by Hal Horn and sent to Kessel for 5 years. Now owns his own Star Destroyer painted red, and works to help the New Republic though considered retired.

6. Corran Horn. Pilot in Rogue Squadron and ex- CorSec agent, he falls in love with the most unlikely person, Mirax Terrik. Is also a Jedi Knight, and trains on Yavin 4 briefly with Luke Skywalker.

5. Admiral Daala. One of the few women officers in the Imperial Navy and defended the Maw Installation under Tarkin's direction. Strikes out at New Republic and fails to take Yavin 4, location presently unknown.

4. Garik Loran. Ex-Imperial actor known as "Face" to his fans, his movies inspired millions. Was believed dead, and later joined the New Republic's Wraith Squadron as their funniest and best disguised member.

3. Kyp Durron. Jedi Knight who briefly turns to the Dark Side and destroys Carida with the Sun Crusher super weapon, Kyp is befriended by Han Solo after he frees him from Kessel. He is tempted by Exar Kun on Yavin 4, but overcomes that and destroys the Sun Crusher.

2. Warlord Zsinj. A master tactician and a mind like a banker, profit here, loss here, balance the account; Warlord Zsinj is the Empire for a few years. He is underrated, but in truth he was more powerful than most. He threatened New Republic space for years, until the Wraiths, Rogues, and Han Solo stopped him throughout many bloody battles.

1. Grand Admiral Thrawn. The best military commander the Empire ever had, Thrawn is almost successful in retaking the galaxy. A Chiss, Thrawn was considered useless by most, and sent to the Outer Regions. Thrawn arrived back to the galaxy with clones led by a cloned Jedi master, Joruus C'baoth. Thrawn is betrayed by his Noghri bodyguard Rukh, and dies saying a line that suited him well; "But it was so artistically done."
