While I was watching ep 4 a new hope for the first time in a while, i noticed something during the opening scene. I was at the part when c-3PO and r2 had just blasted away from tantive 4 in the escape pod. All was well, they were sailing towards the planet, and you could see the tantive 4's underbelly in the star destroyer, when it hit me.

How did the stormtroopers get in the ship?

The "ground" underneath the tantive was not there! There was no place to walk, or anything, it was just suspended there. Now, i remember reading one of the Tales comics (don't recall which) where the stormtroopers enter, and the first guy gets shot by princess leia. The ground floor was there then. So how could the escape pod get out? You'd think the Imps would not let something like that happen.
