First off white armor makes a lot of sense. The color white reflects light and what are laser bolts but concentrated bolt's of lethal light so the white armor should reflect it or at least dampen the effect.

zak: Two words, croyogenic freezing. In the book Republic Commando: Hard Contact they talk about how the Commando's had to go into freezing so that they wouldn't age until they were needed again so I'm assuming that the regular clone troopers would be frozen as well. Besides the 501st legion fought at Hoth and Endor is only a year later so...

There are points on a stormtrooper that their armor dosn't cover and it's just their body suit so it is possible that arrows could penetrate the suit. Plus I don't care if your wearing a helmet if someone throws a rock hard enough at you it could knock you out. No one ever said the Ewoks killed the stormies, they might have just knocked them out and later the Rebles could have stolen their guns and shot them later. Easy as that.

I was told that the white armor was to strike fear into the hearts of the enemy. If you could walk through a forest full of brown and green in a white suit, you are not afraid of anyone. Of course the ewoks may have taken it a different way. Such as-Wow, look at that thing that stands out like a sour piece of cheese in a pastry shop! Lets hit it with some rocks and sticks!

this is just like the story of the American Revolution. How in the world does a bunch of farmers defeat the greatest army of the time. Of coarse the American troops trained and they weren't inept but their is a parallel. A strong one.

There were some trained rebel soldiers at the battle, so it wasn't totally a sad defeat. Sometimes pride's a weakness and that is very obvious in the last 45-60min. of ROTJ.

No hate on the British, there is no comparison between the British and the Galactic Empire. What I'm rather saying there is a comparison between the Rebels and the Americans with thier fight for freedom.

there are times when the simplest tool is often the best tool for the job. sticks and stones may break your bones & they will defeat the empire!
Because Ewoks are savage PEOPLE EATERS!!!! no their not. they just did not have any reason at that time to not view humans as any thing other than food-prey with strange fur as opposed to the strange lobsters with the white shells- after they got to the rebels they sure seemed happy to me. they made the rebels a part of the tribe-i just hope that they did not offer them any "stormtrooper-on a stick".

In the end, the Emperor lost because his overconfidence was his weakness. The ewoks and the rebels kept the Imperials at bay long enough to blow up the shield generator, setting the stage for the destruction of the Death Star. Even then, it was Vader's turning on Palpatine that brought the victory. The Empire would have sent more troops to deal with the Ewoks, but it was in total disarray following Palpatine's death.

this led to all those warlords breaking away, and of course the inability to destroy the rebels, even causing rhe lack of man power to fight the ssi ruuk, forcing them to ally with the rebels

Do not insult the Ewoks. Although they aren't stupid, they arent exactly psycotic either. They were just determined to defend their homeland. I mean, if you live in a forest and a bunch of morons come running in with white and black armor (look at the officers for the black) then wouldn't you think that they were just easy targets for the picking? and then, they simply scavenged, because Ewoks aren't much higher up the tree of technology than baboons. This is my last point...you ALL thought of the Ewoks as Teddy bears. The stormtroopers would too, right? "whats that teddy bear do-AAAGH!!! MY LEG! HE SHOT MY LEG!! CRAZY TEDDY BEARS!!" or something like that because they wouldnt be expecting dangerous teddy bears.

I think that by the time of ROTJ, Imperial policy had shifted to emphasis a more uniform style of armor. Camo-armor (like the stuff we saw in ROTS) would make more sense on worlds like Endor.

Actually, the rebels would be more like the French: aiding the locals in fighting off the occupation forces that have taken over their world. "The white coats are coming...the white coats are coming"
