Star Wars Disney Trip
Hi Everybody! Sorry it took so long to do this, but I couldn¡¦t find time to write it.

I promised you guys a blog about my November Disney Trip, and here it is.

I won¡¦t give you a blow-by-blow account of the trip, that would take forever! But I will give you a quick summary, and my recommendations for future travelers.

Favorite Ride- Rock N Rollercoaster

Favorite Park- Magic Kingdom

Top 10 Rides-

10. Pirates of the Caribbean
9. Soarin
8. Jungle Safari
7. Buzz Lightyear
6. Star Tours
5. Mission Space
4. Space Mountain
3. Big Thunder Mountain
2. Expedition Everest
1. Rock N Rollercoaster

Top 5 Shows-

5. Beauty and the Beast
4. Magic Kingdom Fireworks
3. Indiana Jones
2. Lights, Motors, Action
1. Fantasmic

Why I would recommend each ride-

Pirates of the Caribbean- Great for all ages, kids will love it, travel in large boat that sits 20 people, and see all animatronic figures that really look real.

Soarin- New, also great for all ages, a huge IMAX screen showing scenes from all over the world, you appear to be flying.

Jungle Safari- Just what the name says, travel through the real environment of Africa in Southern Florida. Best in early morning when animals are awake. Can see cheetah, elephant, giraffe, lion, rhino, hippo, flamingo, and others.

Buzz Lightyear- Great for all ages, again perfect for fans of Toy Story. Use a laser in a moving car to shoot targets and gain points.
Star Tours- A Star Wars ride that all fans must ride. Travel with a crazy droid pilot into a comet, get caught by a Star Destroyer, and brave the trenches of the Death Star. Oh, and no lightsaber dueling or disintegrations please.

Mission Space- Not for those with weaker constitutions. Experience a flight into outer space, and feel the g force of a real lift off. Strangest feeling of all time, but really quite exciting. Fly a shuttle to Mars, and land successfully.

Space Mountain- Roller Coaster, very jerky, no large drops, but considerably sharp turns, all done inside in the dark. About 30-40 seconds of ride time.

Big Thunder Mountain- An outside roller coaster, travel thru a western town and into the dirt mountain. Again, no real drops, but sharp roll banking, including a double helix up, for those who don¡¦t understand roller coaster lingo, two consecutive turns going gradually up at about 30 mph.

Expedition Everest- Disney¡¦s fiercest looking ride. Go up Mt Everest, and then back down. Much scarier to look at than it really is to ride. Picks up speed of about 35 mph on 1 large drop, but loses all speed by going right back uphill at a 70 some degree angle. Oh yeah, it goes backwards too. fº

Rock N Rollercoaster- The best ride of all time at Disney, hands down. Inside roller coaster, goes upside down 3 times, with 1 serious loop going to the left (for those that have ridden it, that one is the last loop). But that¡¦s not the best part. Go from 0 to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds. Shiny. Feels like you¡¦ve lost control of your feet, but than it slows down. But not really.

Also, I advise all future travelers to get the Unofficial Guide to Disney; it has reviews by people everywhere, some positive, some negative.

Although Rock N Roller Coaster was my favorite part of the trip by far, this one thing was great also. We were headed to Star Tours, and we ran into a Stormtrooper. I think he was looking for 2 droids, but I¡¦m not quite sure. He pointed, and we followed him into a different part of the line, where Anakin Skywalker was! Well, maybe he once was, but now he was more machine than man. Darth Vader! We got a couple of pictures with them, they came out really well. That was great,

Plus, for those that have not been, if you go to MGM and Star Tours, you will see 2 things. One is a speeder bike from Endor, fake of course, and the other is a huge AT AT that shoots out steam.

Also, on the back lot tours ride, we saw the actual Hoth speeder bike used, as well as some other stuff, including the cages that Will and crew are caught in in Pirates 2.

That¡¦s pretty much it, I absolutely loved the trip, it was even better than the previous 3 times I had been. Let me know if you guys have ever gone, and what your favorite part was. And for those that have not gone, I advise you to do so as soon as possible. It really is a magical place.

MTFBWY!

cbern!!...So good to see you and hear about your trip! I would like to get back Disney sometime in the not-too-distant future.

I have to tell you...I did this test on NFL.com for whom to root for if your team is out of the playoffs...it says I should root for the Eagles. What do you think, lol?????

B-) :D

You're welcome, I did have a great time thanks!

Stooge, go check it out if you can, it is better.

Ami, I don't think I need to say anything. GO GIANTS!

It is so strange that they actually made the playoofs, I think that they could win the super bowl, but that's just me.

Good to hear from you guys, cya.

Hey! I love Disney World, and I was there in Nov too! For my 18th b'day. I love star tours, as does my five-year-old brother. Tatooine traders is my fave store, (and I love to shop!)

I didn't see DV this trip, but I did see them when I went in July. It was so cool to stand next to DV! I was scared, even though I knew he wasn't thr real darth vader. lol

Isn't the new Pirates great? I've always loved pirates (the ride) and now my mom does too, she kept dragging us onto it to she could see jack again!

Glad you had a good time!

Yes, the new pirates is great. I love Tatooine traders too, funny that I can go over to the book shelf and own 90 percent of what the are selling, hm, must mean I'm a fan.:)

Bad news for the Giants today, loss by 3 as the clock winded down. Always next year.

Ami, you're "team" looked good, but I have to say I hope they get destroyed in New Orleans.

Sorry about your boys. :(

Sorry about your boys. :(

I am too, but they reall didn't deserve to be in the playoffs anyway, so I'll get over it.

I'm now rootnig for the better Manning, Peyton and the Colts. But I like LT too, as long as the winner isn't Philly or Baltimore.

I really like Peyton Manning, but the rest of the team is...OK. I like a few of them. I'm rooting for a Chargers-Bears Superbowl with Ladainian coming away with the win!

Have any thoughts on the college championship game, on right now?

Been watching the whole thing, think Florida is in pretty good shape, up 34 14 at the half.

I can't believe this. That two-month-long layoff killed the Buckeyes, it seems.

I have a fun Jim Tressel story. We lived in the Youngstown, OH area when Tressel was the coach at YSU, and the Tressels went to my church. I can remember singing with him right there a few rows in front of me, and one week after Mass he came up to me and complimented me. Being a football junkie, it made my week!

Still, I don't really care who wins...it's FOOTBALL!

Yes, the actual replica used for ep 5. It's on the MGM backlot tours.
