I have been reading and re-reading Star Wars books for a long time now, and have finally found a favorite book, Labyrinth of Evil. There are many reasons why this is my favorite, as listed below.
1. This is a Prequel Trilogy and Clone Wars book. The Clone Wars has always been my favorite Star Wars era, and I prefer the characters in the prequel movies, which brings us to reason 2...
2. This book tells the story of General Grievous. Grievous is my second favorite character of all time, next only to Maul. This tells of his origins as a Kalee, and how Dooku gave him his mechanical body.
3. This book gives us great detail about the hunt for Sidious. As this is the climatic point in the Clone Wars, a book with this story must be a good one.
4. This book involves the Chosen One and Obi Wan, who are my favorite Jedi duo in the books and movies.
5. This book has many battles, both space and land. Reading about battles when written by great Star Wars authors is very exciting, which leads us to reason 6...
6. James Luceno is my favorite Star Wars author. This book as well as his Dark Lord book are some of my favorite books of all time, including non-Star Wars books.
These are them main reasons why I chose this book as my favorite, but these are very close to the top, too.
Outbound Flight
Darth Maul Shadow Hunter
Medstar 1 and 2
Revenge of the Sith
Jedi Trial
Thrawn Trilogy
Rogue Squadron Series
Jedi Academy Trilogy
And my favorite book from the Expanded Universe after ROTJ is
Darksaber
If you have any suggestions about other books, or comments about this blog, I would be happy to hear them.
Thanks, and MTFBWY
