The Opposite Side
The main point that I am trying to reach with this blog is that Thrawn was right and the New Republic Wrong!

When the rebels fought the Empire with Palpatine that was ok, in my opinion, but Thrawn knew something that the New Republic did not know; this being the reason for Thrawn attempting to take over. This reason is (spoiler for those who haven't read Outbound Flight) that Thrawn knew of the impending invasion of Yuuzhan Vong. Now, the one who really knows this is Palpatine, but I believe that he did not rise to power in order to stop this; he was just a greedy, evil, corrupt Sith lord/Emperor. On the other hand, Thrawn gives no reason for his invasion, and I believe that he tried to take over to possibly prevent this invasion of dark, biological, warships. Also, if there ever was a perfect enemy to combat the Vong it is Thrawn, and here is why. These are based on the idea that what Thrawn had in the trilogy written by Timothy Zhan, he still has at his disposal.

1. He would be able to out tactic and out plan them. In my mind, there is no commander anywhere who could beat Thrawn, alien, human, or otherwise. Although the New Republic's generals are skilled, they are unable to repel this invasion. Thrawn could probably invent useful strategies to fight living ships, rather than ones with artificial energy shields.

2. Thrawn would never be in short supply of troops, due to his Spaarti cloning tanks. He could clone individuals, or even the deranged Jedi Master C'baoth.

3 C'baoth, despite his problems, would be better suited to fight the Vong than Luke, simply because C'baoth would be able to use mind tricks to confuse them, where Luke would not due to his conscience.

Besides Thrawn, the Empire's super weapons would have been a great asset to fighting the Vong, but that is for another blog, possibly by me in the near future.

Basically, my main point here is that Thrawn was just helping when he invaded rather than just destroying people. If anyone is interested, I have also written a blog on "Why Thrawn would be a better Emperor." I do not know how to make a link, so you can click on my profile and access it that way.

If anyone has any ideas, counter theories, or questions, please post them, and look at it in a few days; I will usually respond to any good questions, thoughts, or ideas. Thanks, and MTFBWY.
