Where did all this come from

For those of you who read comic books, you know that the Skywalker name has become synominous (sp) with Jedi and powerful Force use. However, where did it all start? Where did the Skywalker bloodline come from? I have a hard time beliving that Anakin was the first Force user in the family. If you buy into the notion that Anakin was created by the Force, I guess it's possible, but y'all know that I don't. I still belive that he was manipulated into being by the Sith, but I digress. Where was Shmi from? How did she become a slave? Who were her ancestors? There has to be something in the past to explain the strength all subsequent Skywalkers have in the Force. Maybe one of the authors will have pity and adress this issue in the future.

date Posted: Feb 24, 2007 11:43 AM That is a good question. that's too simplistic But that's the beauty of it, isn't it? It's so tragically simple that it's brilliant! I do belive Ani was created by the Force (through Plagueis) and that incredible power was just passed on through genetics. MTFBWY, and Happy 30th Anniversary!

date Posted: Feb 24, 2007 8:39 PM Shmi's background, and the birth of Anakin is definitely some good fodder for the EU. At the same time though, I like the mystery of it all. There are plenty of Star Wars mysteries that Lucas seems to like to keep up in the air for fan's imaginations.

Actually, he was created by the Force, and whether you agree with it or not, it's canon. Darth Plaguesis the Wise engineered the midi-chlorians to create a being of pure Force energy, intended to be the Sith'ari: the perfect Sith creature.

And Shmi could use the Force, to a small degree. She could sense when Anakin was near, or feel his emotions.

date Posted: Sep 20, 2008 2:56 AM You misunderstood me. I know he was made by the Force. I'm saying that I don't believe he was the first Skywalker that could use the Force. I want to know the origins of the entire family.
