I was recently looking over the forums and saw a What's The Story discussion, and one person asked: "Is it truly EU and how official is it."

Well, I am truly stuck on this one.

I mean, sure it will go in the databank as "official," but how official will it be in our minds. It's created by the minds of fans basically, so a fan could make Star Wars theirs basically.
