I don't either, but it's neat that someone does. I didn't get to see "Revenge..." as often as I would have liked to have seen it in the theaters, but I have certainly enjoyed watching the subsequent DVD viewings.

I knew Lucas would someday go back and do episodes 1-3 and thought he would do the 9 episodes he originally planned (episodes 7-9 to be forthcoming), but I suppose those are the least important chapters. I mean, I think things were pretty good in the galaxy after the Rebels won and the Empire was dead.

I am in love with the Original Trilogy, but I have to admit that Episode 3 is very appealing to me.

Yea, friggin May 19th '05 hehe.
Only movie ever that I know and remember the release date hehe.

Am I the only one that has been in movie hangover since that date last year?
In the past I might see 4-5 movies a year in theaters but, after seeing RotS, 5 times I havent seen a single movie (in theaters) since. Havent wanted to.
Its like a mourning or something. Star Wars was the first movie I ever saw as a kid and (Ep:3) was the last I saw as an adult.

I suppose ill finally break down and go see X-men soon though. Ahh life goes on :)

The only thing that was better after Ep:6 was that all the people felt better believing a 'good' government was back in place.
Of course 'good' doesnt neccesarily mean honest and just.
And the new republic had plenty of, same-old same-old, political infighting and backstabbing. And they still were fighting the remnants of the Empire and the the Yhouzon Vong and others.

Hardly a new golden age.
But the 'evil' Sith were no longer in charge and the 'good' people were running things... perception is reality.

I think Anakin had the right idea in Ep:2 when he told Padme that one 'wise and good' person should rule the galaxy (in so many words).

Only problem with that kind of idealism is finding that one wise, good, perfect ruler.
Its usualy pie-in-the-sky thinking cause its unlikly that person will ever come along, much less, manage to become ruler.

Anakin finally became twisted into the belief that Palpatine was the vessel that would make him (eventually) into that ruler. Sad, power-hungry and misguided he was, like most great leaders in our history.

The ones that had a great dream and the right idea, but it never quite worked out the way they envisioned or if it did it didnt last.

Alexander the Great and George Washington come to mind.
The former didnt conquer lands and people and have a dream to rule and destroy everything he crossed. He had a genuine dream of a united world. He gave back much of the land and people he defeated and forged a growing empire that encompassed most of the known world and died in his early 30s... imagine if he'd lived another 20-30 years.

Washington lead his people against a dictatorship not for 'land' or gold but for freedom. And after victory, passed on the idea of being crowned King of his new country. Rare wisdom and selflessness there.

Palpatine's vision was of a united galaxy by and through force, whether they liked it or not.
Anakin was an impressionable, misguided (and a bit on the stupid side) boy that Palps relatively easily exploited.

Absolute power (real or percieved) corrupts absolutly most of the time.
