I really want to play star wars galaxies, but i heard it is $15 a month. is that true? And if it is trues is it worth the money?

Well, ill put it like this.

The game has its highlights and its downfalls.

Will it be worth it? Hell yeah, if, and only if, you LOVE Star Wars. I've been playing almost since launch (a little more than 2 years ago) and it's been a great experience.

For me, the greatest experience has been visiting my favorite Star Wars spots (Jabba's Palace, Mos Eisley Cantina, etc.) and living my own life as a Star Wars character.

If you only want to play for the heck of playing a game, you'll still enjoy it, but maybe be dissapointed after 6 months or so.

If you ask me if I'll still be playing, the answer is definetly YES.

It is $15 a month but I think it's worth it. You get the first month free, so if you don't like it you can cancel. I hae been playing the game since it first came out and will continue to play it. But I can't tell you that you WILL enjoy, that is for you to decide. Try it, if you don't like it quit.

I have only been on for about 4 months; can only give you my personal opinion. Any true, hardcore SW fan will enjoy it. Some words of advise:
a) Don't play it to 'beat the game'. it's not Halo or a platform game.
b) Make friends. They ar an intricate part of the game and it becomes a joy to complete quests with them.
c) Patience is a virtue. The action is quick and stimulating, but the research and understanding of the game's intricacies is just as important.

All in All I think Galaxies is the best MMO out there. Being a huge SW fan makes it that much better. You figure it this way: You spent 50 cents a day to try out fulfilling your childhood dreams of being in the SW universe.
